Interesting how several of the views say it's as good, if not better than the 650S. It does seem McLaren have played a blinder with this car. I did have the chance to look round one (not drive) a few days ago and I am very impressed by it indeed, it is their strongest effort to date and shows a new maturity for them as a manufacturer.
A small detail, but getting in and out is so much easier due to the lower height of the sill.

I think the 12c is a pretty thing the 570s isn't something Id describe as pretty (although I absolutely love it) its more functional imo. If you were to switch from the 12c to the 570s what colour would you opt for?

Yes, tints ;( they were on when I bought it and to be honest I was going to remove them , but I don't like the attention at the traffic lights or when your moving slow through traffic, I think the 12c is a pretty thing the 570s isn't something Id describe as pretty (although I absolutely love it) its more functional imo. Whoever specked this car loved carbon fibre, I don't think there is anywhere else you can put it on the car, and I suppose as its already been said if you were to spec a 570 the same it would be £35k more, as for colour I like the grey one they do that I've seen pictures posted on here.
I will defiantly go and drive one of the 540/570s and see how they compare as a future change possibility, I don't need 650 bhp in one as I doubt it would keep with my Caterham on track any way including Spa.
