This is pistonheads not electricheads. These cars don't belong on a motoring website.
Change is inevitable, mate. Stop living with your back to the future. The only way to cope with it is to embrace it.
Yeah, that is a very strange thing to say. PH is a motoring website that embraces pretty much all marques and types - just because something is a PHEV or BEV, doesnt make it ineligible to be here. And clearly, a bunch of owners are taking advantage of the cheaper running costs to have other cars - both EV or non-EV. Its all about enthusiasts - very strange thing to say....

There was uproar when people started posting steam train pics on horseandcart.com - the rest is history.
I'll have to do a pic - we've now got two EVs smile

I like that colour. What interior did you go for?

It was new, but in stock at our local dealer, and had the black interior. I don’t think there is a choice of interior colours though, which wasn’t an issue for us, but maybe for some people.

I tested one of these at the weekend, AMG line not the Premium; have to say I was very impressed and it didn't take me long to forget it was an electric car I was in. Also tested the Polestar 2 on Friday - that was an enjoyable drive but it felt claustrophobic inside the cabin.

400kg of corbels shoved in the back, handled it so well on the air suspension (its an ipace)

Much shorter trip the other day with 600kg of genoise stone put in the back, again, handled the over weight very well.

I’d love a fully EV, just no access to charge at home frown
Currently on my second hybrid. Hyundai ioniq 1st edition.

Previously had a Toyota Yaris hybrid with a 1.5 litre thingmy and cvt gearbox.

Over three years and 7000 miles it averaged at 61mpg. Granted 90% of it journeys were fairly short. Few miles nipping round the shops or carting the dogs places.

The Hyundai is so far achieving similar MPG figures, but its only a few months old now. Expecting it to get better when the batteries have settled in (going through a winter). Plenty of toys. Semi autonomous, radar cruise and lane assist.

For fun days can’t beat getting the boosted mx5 out though.
