Hi guys,
Thanks for all the great advice and info on here. As a newbie I've found out so much. I'm planning on ordering one tomorrow. It's going to be white Msport with the plus pack, black interior with blue stitching and Estoril interior. Everyone has their own tastes but I particularly like the blue calipers on the White car. I've looked at one in the dealership and I'm very happy. One small thing that's bugging me is the lack of "m" badge on the car. Why? I know they dump the e-drive badge on the rear but surely they could have both.
Is it possible for a dealer to fit one? Not any old tat badges just what would be on the equivalent 320 Msport etc.
Very much a first world problem I grant you but if you are paying this much cash it's nice to get what you want.. No?
I think they now come with an M Sport badge. If you use the configurator it now shows an M Sport badge where as it didn't used to. It also now comes with a blue grille, which it didn't used to.Thanks for all the great advice and info on here. As a newbie I've found out so much. I'm planning on ordering one tomorrow. Unfortunately my car was built just after this production change so I think I am getting a blue grille and M Sport badge.
Will let you know when it hopefully arrives on Wednesday

The m sport models don't get the blue grill option. Unfortunately my car was built just after this production change so I think I am getting a blue grille and M Sport badge.

Just a thought, but does anyone think as technology improves with the batteries,BMW could upsell higher rated batteries that would extend the range?
Yes thats exactly what they've done with the i3, called it a range extender pack and you can take your old i3 in and get the battery upgrade Funkydunc said:

Yes I had a test drive in a brand new before I placed my order yesterday. It did have the Msport badge which I was surprised by. No blue grill mind but my order sheet says iperformance style deletion so I'm not expecting it. The I drive system had a different interface and I swear the seats were different (maybe an upgrade?) Sales man said the factory was shutting production in December for a re tool so end of Jan delivery for me.
Let us know how it finally looked..

Holy crap bigphil47, that is shocking. Hope all goes well from here and no damage has been done.
Well after 2 and half weeks she is back, fortunately no permanent damage done - just a new lockset and recoding. The garage that did work had to send her to BMW for coding - all in the total bill comes to somewhere north of £1,300 - that doesn't include having the locks changed at home and additional security added to the conservatory and patio doors etc.... Just hope the scrotes don't try again! Whilst I was without I had a 1.0 Fiesta (courtesy car) but needed to go to Newcastle so hired a brand new Merc E220d - no way do I want to go back to diesel now after getting mine back, noisy thing!!!

Ha ha, glad you got it back... totally agree on the diesel thing, i said this in a previous post but getting back in to a diesel after driving the 330e is like going back 10 years in car technology - its awful!

Well mine has finally arrived today!
I will give a more feedback when I've had a few days driving, but the first thing I have found is that you need to be very careful around pedestrians ! One lady saw me but then continued to walk, it was almost as though because the car doesn't make any noise, therefore it can't be moving...
Anyhow re M Sport badges.
My build started about 6 weeks ago. No blue grill :-) M Sport badges and m Sport kick plates. No silver finish to the pedals either...

Hi Guys, been reading this topic with interest as am gearing up from changing my 2014 520D Auto and the lower BIK on the 330e is very attractive, comparing £85 pm vs £290pm for the 520D
I am the sort that looks at performance first and then the Co2 so the headline figures of 6.1 sec 0-60 looks very attractive, however does it actually feel quicker than the 320/520D in real world especially, on up the speed range for example motor way over taking as the standard 320i would be slower due to lack of torque etc.
Another question is what's the battery life in stop start traffic .. My daily drive into my main office is 8 miles but that's about an hour on Belfasts roads, now electric isn't that big a deal as some days my trip to work is 160 miles round trips and my 520d averages 42mpg.
I had been waiting for the new 5 series ... But yeah lol it looks the same as my existing one and after doing 78,000 in three years I need more of a change and looking the 540e and 530e might be as far away as 2018

Good tip for this, rather than beep the horn is to click in to save mode which starts the engine and is usually enough to alert pedestrians to your presenceI will give a more feedback when I've had a few days driving, but the first thing I have found is that you need to be very careful around pedestrians ! It feels much quicker in my opinion, had a 320d prior to my 330e and have driven various BMW diesel's since.
None of them are close to the 330e, most noticeable is the very smooth and constant surge of tourque which allows you to build serious pace with such ease and comfort! Its so enjoyable and easy, the car never feels like it struggles and when travelling along at 60mph, 100mph only ever feels like a few seconds away! You really do have to keep an eye on your speed, id set the speed warning if i were you, i have mine set at 90 just to remind me and save me watching the dial.
Some more sporty touches when usung the gearbox too, you can hold the down paddle for 2 seconds and it instantly selects the best gear for overtaking and gets you in the perfect tourque band.
All in all a very fast car but it's the effortless way in which it does it thats really impressive.
Pretty quick in electric only when pulling away too, the firsy 30mph is rapid, its surprised everyone who's ever been in the car with me.
If its performance your after then you wont be disappointed! That aside, PHEV is the future, its just a great way to travel and a superb car all round.
You wont go back to diesel after PHEV!
Ive had mine around 6 months and dont think i could live without preconditioning now!!

There is a German YouTube video showing a race between the 330e and the 320d.. It shows of the line the 320d is faster, but then the 330e pulls it back in and gets past it.

Well, my car has arrived at the dealer so not long to wait now!
When you guys got the car, did it come fully charged?
How long has it took from order to delivery? Ordered mine 3rd of October and told it could take up until end of March. When you guys got the car, did it come fully charged?
I'm becoming obsessed,

Thank you, this has put my mind at ease, I was worried once you got past the 50mph electric boost and are only on the normal engine that it would struggle to compare to the more powerful 190 Bhp 320D

Guy driving the 330e must have been sleeping, it's much quicker off the line and everywhere else, remember the electric boots works at all speeds and the way it works you are never in a situation where you don't have the full 250bhp, even with 0% battery showing the performance isn't affected at allThere is a German YouTube video showing a race between the 330e and the 320d.. Sorry I may have a few queries over the next few days...
So my car is an M Sport. I assumed this just meant slightly stiff springs, better shocks etc? However, there is a menu option for sport mode, which allows you to alter drivetrain and/or suspension whilst in sport mode. Does this mean the car actually has adaptive suspension? Or what is it actually changing?
Also I which app iphone app is best to use? They look very different, neither are that user friendly.. Using the app, I am trying to set a Departure Time. When I try and send it to the car it instantly says 'Connection Failed' does anyone else get this?
I'm still trying to work out the sat nav system, I will probably have more queries on that at some point..
Thanks

To answer my own question :-)
I spoke to BMW earlier. Apparently the M Sport does not have adaptive suspension, but the ride is 'firmed up' in sport mode.
I had assumed it was just stiffer springs and better shocks, so a bonus really!
The menu system allows you turn off the stiffer suspension and/or drivetrain settings whilst in sport mode.
The other thing is that I am slowly getting used to the auto box after years of manual. I'm not convinced yet, but getting there. What I don't like though is that in sport mode it will change down and rev to the redline. There is that much torque that there is no need to do this at all. I am now tending to drive it in 'manual' when in sport mode to try and stop it doing this.
The other thing I have noticed is that there is a definitely a flat spot in the acceleration around the 50-60mph mark, I think I read it some where else, but it is very noticeable.
