The waiting is over!!
car delivered at lunch time - filthy due to rain & no juice in the battery, so no real fun had yet.. BUT
I am happy, looks great IMO & the 19s plus the Msport suspension is no issue at all (for me)

Ordered mine 22nd January.
Production start 16/05
Production finish 20/05
Arrived in UK 30/05
Arrived at dealer 14/06 (Yes it took longer to go from Soton to Bath than it did a box of components to a functioning car shipped across 2 countries and an ocean)
Pickup from dealer 16/06 (tomorrow huzzah!)
That's insane! I'm in Sheffield and the supplying dealer is Williams in Manchester so hoping for a speedy delivery once they have it.Production start 16/05

I ordered mine mid February and delivery isn't scheduled until early September!
This thread is the only thing keeping me sane!
Like most people here it's a company car so the BIK saving made it an easy decision, especially coming from my current 318d.
I've gone for a sport line in Mediterranean blue with 18" 397 wheels and LED headlights.
Would love to know if anyone else has gone for Med blue as I haven't seen any photos of one yet.
Cheers

Hi Has anyone ordered via GB leasing as I have not had any updates? , No order number nothing , I can imagine there's other people who are on this forum that may be as frustrated as me waiting in anticipation for news, I ordered in early February with delivery scheduled mid July and its clear that others are getting cars after ordering later! Just wanted to ask anyone in the same boat? this forum has been brilliant with all the information provided well done

What would be really helpful is if those of you getting status updates could actually say when you placed the original order.
That way those of us still waiting could get an idea how far down the waiting queue we are.
Thanks
Order on the last week of Feb with main dealer. Was told it went into build at the start of this week and they are hoping to have it ready for collection last week of June or first week of July. Fingers crossed! That way those of us still waiting could get an idea how far down the waiting queue we are.
Thanks

I'm in the same position, and getting concerned.
Anyone else?
I think it is scandalous that BMW can not even give a projected month of build, surely they must have this production data? I would prefer them to give me a month, and then bring it forward if I am lucky then no information at all.Anyone else?
I guess at least by not giving ETA, this kind of encourages people not to cancel orders..
I hate the whole social media bit, but maybe we need to start being a pain and post on Facebook, Twitter etc....

Has anyone used the BMW genuine roof bars or roof boxes? Any feedback on quality vs Thule? I have been given a few quid from the dealer towards accessories due to a bit of a mess up on my order.
Ask BMW who makes their bars, I would imagine it might be Thule. How much money have they given you? You can get Thule aero bars for about £150.
Roof boxes I have no idea on, but looking at their bike racks, they are not as good as the latest Thule ones which are about £85 each.

My issue is with the lease company, not BMW who I've had no contact with (I've no idea who the supplying dealer is).Placed my order on 11th February via Lex Autolease and didn't get much feedback at first but was advised I'd take delivery in mid July. After about three months of waiting my updated delivery date was pushed back to December (they hadn't notified me, but I happened to notice while checking the portal). Cue me spitting the dummy out at both Lex and BMW directly and all of a sudden my delivery date was brought forward again to July! With a provisional build week of this week. The car was actually completed last Wednesday and is currently at the port of export, so I'm expecting to take delivery in a couple of weeks. If you are concerned that you are being fobbed off have a good rant at them and see what happens. I found that Twitter gave me a pretty fast response!
