Was doing 280kph 0n the A88 near Alencon in a 3 Porsche convoy didn't
see many coppers but a friend of my said that when you get your ticket
from the toll booth it has a time on it ,so if you get to your next
destination within a certain time you pay more because you have been
traveling at a greater speed?Or is that a looad of b*llocks?

Just think it through:-

1. what if you had cruised at warp speed but had a "comfort break" at a service area?
2. many toll booths are automated with no one there
3. there isn't any date or time stamped on your ticket.

That's just for starters. This old myth won't go away - they set up a radar trap several kilometres from the toll and radio ahead your registration number and speed.

Or,in very simple language, i'll just go with what DEL 203 said above.

A guy in a hairdresser Porsche got pulled at the toll northbound just before Rouen, he was doing 179KMH apparently. The Police were waiting to pull him based on his reg just as Lowdrag said. We also saw a couple of dutch drivers, one in a yellow C6 corvette and a Nissan go past us only to be pulled in a few miles later.
On the way down there was an Aston 177 parked up in the central reservation just south of the Rouen buffalo grill roundabout, think he was being done for speeding although being an Aston it could just be he had broken down hehe

Also saw a silver Porsche pulled into one of the rest stops just after we'd spotted the cops by the side of the road with a camera on the autoroute near to Alencon.

I stuck the Bentley on cruise at about 130kmh (or 110 in the rain on the way back).
