Classic Le Mans PH group?

Hi, not been to Le Mans before, but was thinking of going next year. However, as a newbie, what's the best? Le Mans or Classic Le Mans? I'd only be able to go on one, so I'd want to make the right decision. If it comes down to the cars, then classic would probably get my vote, what's got the best and friendliest atmosphere. Pro's and Con's?
Cheers.
Depends on what you want, if you like older cars that you can hear and see being driven well then the Classic everytime. If you want the latest, modern stuff then it has to be the normal 24hr...Cheers.
It's a bit like comparing the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Goodwood Revival really...

Thanks for the info guys, am now going to ask wife nicely if I can go.
This looks interesting, I will be going as group of 4 in 2 motors and have already sent my booking to the ACO although that can easily be changed. A couple of questions if I may
1) Is this going to be a PH campsite or an area where it just happens to be PH'ers camping. ie shared facilities or do our own thing?
2) Any idea whereabouts in MB the area will be?
3) Are there likely to be many females around? I am taking my sister and her only experience of LM so far is with Race, What Race. She needs to know it is not always like that! Mate is also taking his GF.

I'm coming down with a couple of girls. I'm hoping for them that the atmosphere is a bit more chilled than the chav-infested 24hr race which I've done a few times but got a bit tired of the car abuse. It will be a reserved part of MB (I hope) and only for people who put their names down on this list in this thread. Just means that you'll have a good spot to come to instead of the turn-up-and-see-where-we-can-find-a-pitch type affair. Shower facilities etc will be as per a usual Le Mans campsite set up. We could get dedicated facilities and put up fencing etc but that puts the price up a lot.
If you want to join us please add your names to the list. We need 100 cars to make it happen.

Hi
Over what period would the dedicated site be available? Ideally we would like to arrive earlier in the week and tour the area.
Thanks.
If you're touring the area, my advice would be to go to a local campsite for the days ahead of the Classic event. The actual event start propoer on the Friday, so they will be manned from thursday properly at my guess....Over what period would the dedicated site be available?
