I have a VW up/Skoooda with the bigger engine, wouldn't like to go all that way in it!
It's a work car, I've now been informed that I can't have it anymore, what's the point in offering it to me if your not going to come through with the goods? So it's looking like I may have to bring my people carrier. The indignaty! It's so bad I can't even tell you what it is! jonby said:

We'll have a fun convoy of
My Aston V12 Vantage Roadster
Aston V12 Vantage coupe
Aston Vanquish coupe ('gen 2')
Ferrari 458 Spider
Porsche Carrera GT
Mercedes SLS
Lambo Murcielago SV
We are leaving by Eurotunnel on Thursday morning on the 9.36am crossing. We're a friendly bunch so feel free to say hi and have a nosey if you bump into us
Meeting up with an LP560/4 Superleggera and a V10 R8 Spider nearer our accommodation who are making their way via Ferry from the South Coast - should make for some interesting noises in the tunnels once we are all together !

Twice it's happened for me. 1992 with the 348 Ferrari. Heap of poo had the alternator fail at 1,500 miles one day before we left, so the Beemer 325 had to go, and another time the E-type had a malfunction and again the "ordinary" car was driven, that time I think in 1995. I sympathise with you all.

Thanks & more than welcomeUnfortunately not as a mutual (can't tell arse from elbow) series of cock ups by BMW UK & DVLA mean it will be a good few weeks yet before my cherished number completes its journey from the rejected M5 & onto its replacement. Will be sporting it's YP14 ***
