To be plastered over with typical LM stickers???
I had a similar idea once and thought Id' get away with it as a Caterham obviously isn't a police car, but in the end I stayed away thinking I didn't want to draw any potential hassle.
Thou shall not be deterred.

I had a crest lined up for the doors. I was thinking of putting 'POLITE' backwards on the bonnet as it's the closest I could get without spelling myself into danger.

Then maybe some strobes and a siren hidden behind the grill for Mad Friday.

The date shows how long ago my idea was!
I like that a lot. Just gotta hope the froggies have a sense of humour when sailing so close to the wind.
When are you travelling in the UK? It should be fine the other side. Just hope that you get no trouble this side.
It'll be minimal use when applied. I only live 15 miles from the port of Poole so it'll literally be an early morning jaunt over to the ferry and away we go. You reckon the UK plod would mind??

Depending on how arsey they are being, maybe. You've only a short trip. Keep to the limits. Do it, do what I didn't!

Can you get a close-up of the sticker on your door, and one of the banner on your windscreen?
The sticker on your door, is it a black square with gold letters? And the banner, black with white letters? Was thinking about getting the same, and would like to see how they are exactly. How would the one on the door look on a lighter coloured car?

We did something similar in 2010/11 with my mates Volvo. The French Police were fine, and often waved or gave a thumbs up (although they were probably just bemused with us English idiots!)

How fine will they be when you stick a lightbar on your roof? I intend on turning a black car into a US sheriff one (no police text, it will read Le Mans County Sheriff) with a lightbar. Illegal or not?
