As per last year, expect to see a few hundred fellow petrol heads there.

I'll up date the initial post with more details as time goes on and ideas come in. The basics of it are, get there around 10am for a decent parking space, meet lots of PHers and gawp and loads of lovely cars.

Tried to arrange for a drive as well last year but just to many people!
Our drive out into the country for lunch was good though, great roads. Probably best sorting this bit for your own groups rather than us all take over a small French village!

Just wanted to add....
And see you all in the square, LM town centre, in the evening for a couple of quiet beers....and then lots of loud ones!

Friday is a mad, fun packed day.

  • PH meet

  • Driver's briefing

  • Parade du Pilote

  • Open pit-lane

And inbetween that the intake of copious amounts of alcohol!

Just read last year's thread, sounds like a great idea!

However, if we are driving on the circuit, I may have to go ride blagging, can't quite see the micra keeping up!!!

Ben,

the circuit for the main is public road. the gendarmes can get a bit arsy about speeding on that stretch, wether in a micra or other!

What sort of tickets do you need to get into the Open Pit Lane?
and how much do they cost?

This is something I would definitely like to do!!

No special tickets are needed, just your General entrance ones, and I doubt they even check those....

Aye - see you there!

Did anyone see the antics of the guy in a blue caterham/westfield doing a couple of burnouts, got spotted by the local gendarmes then parked his car sharpish and legged it?

The gendarmes where still hanging around three hours later waiting for his return!

As has been stated you just need your standard tickets for this.

Getting into the pits lane on a Saturday is a different matter though, you have to be well connected or some sort of PR girl it would seem - although I'm sure I've heard tickets are available for sale...

Got invited in 2003 and it was a fantastic experience, around 3pm looking at thousands of spectators across the other side of the track in grandstands!

Edited to fix dodgy quoting!
