Which of Central, East or West (or other hotels) are folks staying at on the Wednesday, as I'm considering booking in now as my children have been helping me practice stay awake for the 24 hour duration of the last few nights!

Central has gone now, as has Folkstone alas.

We have used the County Hotel in Dover in the past. This is the great big one pretty close to the Eastern Docks and is not too bad at all. From there you are literally five minutes to the boats. There was an Indian restaurant right next door as well should the mood take you.

Since using the tunnel we stay in the ‘International Hotel’ in Ashford which is pretty good in fact. So there will be four Pistonheaders propping up the bar on Wednesday evening at least! It is a damn great big set up and we got four rooms there only last week

Just booked the same, so beers indeed will be on

What are your food/drink plans that night, the Brewer's Fayre next to it, or somewhere else?

See you on Wednesday

We're booked in here

www.maisondieu.com/

No idea what it's like but it's close to the ferry and the single room option works out a lot cheaper for the 'singles' in our small 'pre-ferry' group

We decided to stay in Calais at the Campanile this year to give us a better start for the 2nd part down.
