Adding extra drivers to your insurance - top tip

Just tried to add a friend on to my policy in case he needs to drive the car while we're at LM.

Insurance company quote me £42 for 4 days of cover. Bit steep says I, nice insurance person apologies and says it's because of fixed costs of adding an extra temporary driver. He plays with system for a minute and comes back with ... or you can add him on for the duration of your policy for 21 quid sir :D

That and 9 quid for a green card, can't grumble really!
