WOW, first Le Mans down. Amazing few days but unfortunately did not get to meet that many pistonheaders (did give V15 BEN a wave!). I think that the first le mans has to be written off to experience. Next year, and there will be a next year, should be so much better (as in better organised - I didn't even have a paddling pool).
Beausjour was v. enjoyable and actually I'm thinking of going back there.
Arrived back safe but Boxster is poorly. Will investigate and report back.

Second Le Mans and I had an amazing time. Got some great pictures which I will show later.
Also, I hardly saw any PHers apart from two guys sitting on the steps at the Start/Finish straight at 11pm Saturday.
I don't think I can go next year or the one after that because I have end of year exams and GCSEs.

Great weekend. But HOT!!!! TOO DAMN HOT!!!! It was the most I could do to drag myself from one bar in the shade to the next This year was a vast improvement on organizing myself over last year.
Things I manage to do which I didn’t do last year were: get a shave and shower every day, bring a portable chair, find the Carrefour, drive the circuit on the Friday, go to the Arnage meet on the Friday, have a drink at Les Hundariers (sp?), see Le Mans town centre and, discover it is better to drive to Mulsanne and Arnage than walk!
Things I missed this year which I’ll have to fit into another year are: the drivers parade, getting to the Le Mans museum, watching the driving antics in the camp site on Saturday night, having a proper dinner in Arnage on Friday or Saturday evening, sneaking through the woods to the Mulsanne straight on Saturday night!
There’s just too much to do all in one year!!!
Got back at 3:30 this morning after a marathon drive to Barcelona but am having a very chilled day off today
My sunburn has gone from code orange to code pink and all the blisters on my feet have been popped

Just got back from our first Le Mans visit.
Had a pretty interesting drive down - met some others on the train and followed them. Then due to one thing or another we got split up at Rouen, so that left Bal and I to find the rest of the way on our own.
After several 'heated' discussions regarding which direction to take,we finally arrived at the campsite.Well what a shock that was. It took us ages to find somewhere to pitch our tent and whilst driving past the toilet blocks I realised that I could actually see in the mens toilets and I could see the womens feet under their doors. OH MY GOD!!!!!
Before the tent was unpacked my first words were "I dont like it already"
Mrs Bucket mode on : It was dirty, messy, dusty, and there were men peeing in bushes Mrs bucket mode off.
The tent went up within half an hour ( it had taken 2 hours on the practice sessions) We unpacked and went off to find the supermarket. Well no one could have prepared me for the sight of so many cars/ people doing just what we were doing.Shopping took ages due to all the attention the Sagaris received and the amount of stops we needed to do due to chatting and photographs.
Friday carried on in the same way.We then walked up and sat in the grandstand and the atmosphere suddenly hit me.
The porsche curves on Saturday night ( and early Sunday morning) were fantastic. There I was sitting on the grass amongst a pile of empty beer cans and water bottles thouroughly enjoying watching the cars speeding past.It was at that point that I started talking about "when we come back next year"
Yeah it was HOT, DUSTY,DIRTY and all the other things I mentioned earlier but the atmosphere was fantastic. I spoke to so many people who came over to take photographs and ask questions about the car. We also met a load of people and admired many cars on the stops on the way home and also at the tunnel.
I made it my personal ambition to wave to every TVR that I saw whether I was driving or walking....... So if you were waved at by some nutty woman then it was probably me!!!
If you haven't already been and are considering it - Go for it. You dont know what you are missing.
Lorraine.

Got back about 7 tonight.
Traffic on Alencon Peage and also up to Nonant Le Pin was a nightmare.
Bit of a Lemans veteran, been in 2000, 2001 & 2002.
Did quite a bit this year.
Monday - Arrive
Tuesday - Scrutineering at Town centre
Wednesday - Tours, Blois, Charbord Chateaus. - Qualifying.
Thursday - Qualifying at Mulsanne Corner, from Grandstand for second.
Friday - Pitlane walk (loads of free posters)
Saturday & Sunday Race
Back today
Just downloading loads of photos.
Stayed in Maison Blanche, good site. There was a girl there (with her boyfriend I assume)messing around at the stand pipe in the middle of the field totally naked
My mate went over there to was the barbeque grill, and I have really stitched him up. I have got photos of him crouching down, and this woman totally naked in front of him
Oh....and the racing was good aswell.

Left Beausejour at 6:30 am, on SpeedFerry at 2pm, back home by 8pm (with a stop at friends in London).
Jeez, I don't think I've ever been this tired, an average of 4 hours sleep a night for 4 days and a round trip of 1100 miles!
Great in every way though, I even enjoyed the journey back which I thought I'd find a real bind, but I loved it! The Chimaera never missed a beat and actually seemed to relish the long runs.
Loved seeing the TVR finish the race, especially when I thought it was out when we didn't see it lapping from 12am to 1am, anyone know what the problem was?
We were LM virgins this year but we're already talking about what we'll do differently next year, without even discussing IF everyone was up for it. A good sign I think

Got back around 6 today.. was also on the 2pm speed ferries (bunch of corrados if anyone saw us).. left Houx Annexe around 7am...
Completely shattered having only managed 3 hours sleep last night thanks to the fireworks...
We got there Tuesday- Wednesday was interesting watching the wet qualifying, Thursday was interesting with the various schenaningans that went on in Houx Annexe during the night... and the rest is abit of a blur at the moment.. maybe I should get some sleep..

The Dubs are home!
About an hour ago. Good god that was great. We did everything absolutly wrong and managed to enjoy it. Next year will be a blast. Must try and not get caught speeding in France, car kinda stood out though.
Big thanks to the gentlemen beside us, not PHers, who gave the 3 of us a lift in their Discovery out to Porsche, Arnage and Mulsanne on Sat night. We propably would'nt have got there on our own.
And London, we will get you those pints! Cheers buddy
rralston, didn't mean to scare you in speedchills, you looked a bit shocked

He he good to see my name as the first PHer on the thread
I got a lot of waves throughout the week - I think the micra got people laughing if nothing else. It also got Vmaxxed overtaking a Jag Mark 2 on the way down
Team Micra are back in Leeds - 10 hours driving including the queues on the N138 and the end of the toll road which they appear to have forgotten to build!
Awesome trip and the best drive I have ever had. Overtook a Ferrari, DB7, 911 and 2 TVRs (PHers!) on the way back and a very unhappy French man in a Polo who was utterly shocked as I passed!
The Micra got lots of attention - first time ever - but next year I will get my arse into gear and get some proper stickers done!
