Did anyone see the 8 meter long black air balloon which made its way across from Houx over the track and on towards the airfield brandishing the lettering of ‘Trafalgar.’

I saw the inflation process (looked hard work ) and then later, when at the circuit saw it float overhead!

Saw it over the Grandstand Fantastic.
I thought I was seeing things for a few minutes like a giant letter I but it looked like it was on my eye, very wierd

I really dont know who was responsible (or should that be irresponsible) but I have heard from a freind of a friend who drinks in the same pub as Dorothy Harper that its release was unintentional.

Would this be the same group responsible for the union jack that appeared over Houx / Annexe a few years back tied to about 20 black condoms filled with helium that was released just after the really torrential downpour?

If so fair play because that was a great moment even if it was hung upside down although I suppose there was some distress around especially for the poor souls whose tents had flooded.

The brother of a friend of mine's cousin reckons that the large baloon this year was not related to the the 1st incident..

My guess is either it resulted from "une crime passionelle", the perpetrator was below the age of criminal responsibility, or was not of a state of mind at the time to be responsible for his or her actions.
