What does your motor look like after dashing through Northern France?

I managed to get from Arnage to Calais via Paris late on Sunday evening in 2h 55min, so some exoskeletal damage there....:D

Check out my profile picture from last year. I rode down through France in the evening and there were so many flies that at first I thought it was raining. I had to stop twice to clear my visor.

Hopefully your leathers still bear witness to the invertibrate squall?

That was last year. The leathers have been cleaned (once!) since then. There were nowhere near as many on the front of my Suzuki this year since I rode through the afternoon rather than night time.

I've washed my car twice and still can't get them off the front! Any tips for effective removal? Cheers

blue tack does a good job. - no seriously! try it!

Got some lovely ones on the masser - those big black flying beetles make a massive splat at 150 leptons! Glad I wasn't in a Radical - one of them could take your head off!!!

Front of my Z06 is covered and still have to drive it back yet!

That's the trouble with a yellow car all the bugs fly straight at it going "Ooooh! Luvely flower....splat"

Jet wash then something like Autoglym paint restorer to get the bastards off.

A mere dusting! You could have caught yourself a juicy cockchafer or cicada. The yellow goo is a really good contrast on red...

Saw an ad for Autoglym fly remover, although couldn't find any at Halfords so had to resort to a bit of elbow grease, making a lot of squeaking noises in the process, got most of the blighters off now.
