I have always fancied a 10 minute trip in a helicopter
around the track whilst the race is on.
Has any pher done this and was it worth the fee.

do you just turn up at the airfield or do you need to book.

I think it around 70 -80 Euros.

I did it last year we just turned up at the portakabin and went up. The major problem was that the Audi guests kept arriving in mini buses and where taken up first, we must of queued for about 45 minutes, in the end the people who where organising the flights came over and gave us free cold drinks as we where all just about to keel over because of the heat!! It was well worth the 70 euros, they flew round the circuit twice. We will be going up again this year.

Edited for my usual bad spelling

Ditto, but this year bring the Chutes (s'posse we could use your tent) and we can do a low level jump.

May do it again this year, It really is worth doing, amazing views as said before especiallyteh mulsanne.

Do they fly at night, may be an experience, Been up the ferries wheel half cut at night and that is quite a view...I think :nuts;

If anyone's going up in a helicopter this year, could you please take an aerial photo of our pitch ?

It's a blue tent with a red barbeque outside.

many thanks, d

We did it last year, we were one of the last flights up on Saturday, it was amazing with the light fading. One of the most memorable moments ever, i think. The Mulsanne just blows you away but the real highlight was watching the cars tonk it into Indianapolis, looks awesome. I did get some pictures if someone wants to host them for me?

Well worth it though, we got a full lap around the circuit then he did another pass but cutting back straight across from the bottom end, we flew over our camp site too.

Do it!!!
