Houx Annex to Pistonheaders convoy
Discussion
Just wondered if all the Pistonheaders camping at Houx Annex fancy putting together a Friday morning convoy down to the meeting at Aranarge?
Just thought it might be more fun to be able to cruise down as a group and park up together?, on previous years I have gone to the pistonhead Fri morning meeting I always struggle to find any pistonheaders or when I do find a pistonhead car no one is with the car for a chat.
I was hoping not to be a Billy No Mates down at Arnarge this year, so the idea of a Pistonhead convoy with like minded fellows who are going down anyway , from the same camp site seemed a good idea?
Also for those not going to the meeting it would be great to have a Pistonhead Houx Annex bbq /piss up one evening! anyone like the idea? If your camping at Houx Annex let us know who you are and what car your in anyway so we can look out for each other(and look out for each others cars and gear during the race weekend)!

So where are we going to congregate, obviously we will all be in/meeting at the houx annexe but where shall we gather before heading off? The car park by 'the roundabout'? That seems nice and big and always empty? Or the road that heads towards the tetre rouge bar.
As there maybe quite a large convoy going down (looks like 15 cars so far! As long as everyone get up in the morning!!
) I`d say the road that leads to the tetre rouge bar (opp the other camp site of Houx) through word of mouth and the various Pistonhead stickers on some of the car we may pick up more cars from the other site that are heading down. So thats the start point sorted what`s the best time to head off for everyone? Would it also be an idea for those leaving Houx Annex to meet up on the dusty exit road of the camp site and then make our way down to the meeting point to hook up with other in the convoy?
And I guess it would be "rude" not to have our convoy joint the circuit at the top of mulsanne and take in all the circuit up to Arnarge corner? should make for good pic/video footage!
I can hear that Ultima already.....

I'm well up for this though may be a wee bit jaded given the "early" start. Even though we're only 5-10 cars now I would suggest we meet in the car park near the Houx Annex (friday night fun) roundabout. Remember there's all sorts of people/cars flying around over the weekend so best meet in an open space where we're not causing an obstruction.
PLUS,
In the car park we all get to practise our donuts!!!!!!!!!

Gary,
Its very straight forward. 50 cars excellent!!! This needs some organising though. First things first lets get a map posted up on this thread of the camp site showing inner roads with the car park circled, I dont know how to post pics up so can anyone else help?
If we start at the H.A. car park which is located at the top of the mulsanne, just off the track (near enough) this means we will get a good run down to the main meet.
Bring it on!
Distance from Arn. to Houx. Dont quote me but I figure 2-3mls on inner roads
Suggestions everyone.
Thoughts.
Info.
etc.
