Stayed in MB booked through MRI.

Arrived Thurs 17:00 and there was very little space left at all, we got the last free area we could find for 3 cars (right next the the grass bank/wall at the start of the Porsche curves). Overall site was fine, would benefit from more toilets/showers/bins but atmosphere was great and firework show on Friday night was amazing...

Trying to decidie between MB or Houx for next year, with the appeal of guarenteed pitches with electricity being plus points for Houx...

Oh and the Gods at BeerMountain have this rather nifty littel guide www.beermountain.com/Campsite_Guide.htm

MB and apart from the toilets, thought it was good. Excellent atmosphere. The Drinking for Holland boys know how to party.

Why some peeps camped so close to the smelly toilets I will never work out. Houx Annexe looks a dusty place to be?

Was in Blue Nord.

A lot of people were conned with that one, pretty rubbish. Just the carpark with a toilet block stuck in it. Security was pitiful, and the ground was difficult to put tent pegs into. Not going there again.

We stayed in campssite in Spay- small village.
VERY good, 3miles outside of circuit, but had plenty loo's, showers, electric, space etc. we had a whole field to play frisbee in.

Airtrack

Well organised,
Plenty of clean showers and toilets,
We had electrical power hook up aswell,
Marked pitches,
A Bar,
Fenced all around with security at entrance, only allowed access with wristband,
Security with dogs walking round from Thursday,
Cost - Expensive but worth it for the clean showers and toilets and no queue's!!!!
And the marked pitches,no having to get there on Tuesday to get a good pitch.

Our group will be using them next year i'm sure.

Stayed in camping Bleu. There was two fields, the one next to the road was very noisy and packed, but we stayed in the field behind, loads of space but not quite as rowdy. Had to use the toilets in Bleu Nord, but luckily we went with MRI and they weren't too far away. The field had cut straw all over it, which was very comfortable for those of us sleeping on a role mat.

Not sure where the Caterham boys where, but if what I am told is to be believed, they had a piece of England with them. Everything, including 2 full time security guards that they took with them?

We were told about this by a friend on sunday, think our plans are made for next year. though not sure I'd want to be going through arnage much during the weekend if there are many idiots about.

A for Airtrack and Karting Nord - lovely showers!! All they needed was a big screen and Radio Le Mans coverage an you would'nt have had to leave.

Was in BSJ, bit of a hike from the circuit but they did run a free bus every 5 mins in the evenings (but not all through the night during the race

Not enough toilets or showers for the amount of people on the site - but they were clean I suppose!

Nice atmosphere on the site - things got a bit rowdy on Sun night (see the fire thread etc) but had no real probs, all good fun!

Your very right,

We did advise them that having a big TV and Radio would be a great idea.

Was a good atmosphere aswell.

Karting Nord
44 Euro (ACO price)

Usual toilet / shower facilities......but huge wating times due to the fact that the ACO sells off a lot of space to organised tour groups which pack in a lot of people in the available space.

Makes good commercial sense for the ACO I guess, but puts a lot of strain on the rest of us 'traditional' fans who bring their own tents and facilities. I actually require the same amount of camping space as my car takes up in parking space, but even that is hard to find.

Has the usual burger / beer stand, but again very popular and expensive for what it is.

Plus side, is easy viewing of the track if you can get your tent close enough to the fence. Easy to walk into the main circuit and village.

Traffic can be a problem, particularly getting out to Arnage area.

However the swimming pool ban certainly freed up some space this year, so am all for that.

I did think about trying a different site next year, but it seesm they all suffer the same or similar problems.

They were in Camping Blue in the same site as my group...

I think they had Kareoke or a really bad band on Sunday night though!

I was there too and I thought it was pretty good. I was surprised by the toilets being proper "buildings" and well looked after by pikeys. I was expecting portaloos...
The pitch was OK although it pays to get there early.

The caterham boys didn't have karaoke or a band, is was the leftover of The Twats having really shite music as loud as their Mondeo would allow it... 3 hours sleep before 9 hours drive, nice

Also blue south is pretty close to Arnage so there is little traffic to put up with to pop down to the shops...

Don't tell everyone or they'll all want some of the action!

Would you beleive they weren't fully booked this year!

How did you find/book that?

It was where Trackside and Skidsolo stayed before, Gary and Dave told me they found it by accident, as where they were going to stay was full.

Which package was this then? Was a bit concerned by the small size of the AirTrack hospitality tent nr MB though...
