How do.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get european breakdown cover? I was just quoted £84 for 12 days in France and Holland. Seems a bit steep to me.

Cheers
Matt

Get breakdown cover from brittania rescue and they throw in the euro bit for free.
Email me for more details if you want.
I get excellent service for them and it was the cheapest!

Or, if you are going on the tunnel, Eurotunnel do cover for the length of your trip for peanuts (like £6 for a few days last time I checked).

I have European cover through my car (brand new Honda's come with 3 year full AA cover), but also through the ADAC (www.ADAC.de) who do the whole of Europe for £26 at a VERY high level of cover. Problem with this may be if you don't spead German, but I bought it specifically to cover my Nurburgring trips where being a member really has advantages.

I also have the option of it with my insurance company and normally it's on ferry/Eurotunnel bookings as a few £££ extra.

Here are some I've looked at..:

www.travel-insurance.net/breakdown/apply.html

www.internationalbreakdown.com/Euro_Cover.htm

Any suggestions....

Ummm, this might be the tiniest bit obvious, but why not join the ACO? You get free recovery in France for up to three vehicles registered with them...so with that, the cheap prices on race tickets and all the other benefits, why do anything else? (Unless you want full Euro cover, that is!)
