There are lots of things to be thankful for at Le Mans, great racing, camping, Hawaiian Tropic, red sausage, night racing, meat between bread and PH T-shirts to name but a few.

In just 16 days the racing will start, many cars are already stickered, ferries are booked and plans are made in preparation for the jaunt across the channel to the greatest race on earth.

I bought one recently and was upset that the printing was a little off. So I emailed them a grumbling little email, and the next day another one arrived.

What fabulous service, and nice shirts too.

I know they are very nice and helpful, I just don't like to be a pain. I'll take a pic tonight and email them, thanks Paul. Oh and the quality of them is great, nice t's and my wife even liked them, very high praise indeed!!!

My girlfriend is not happy that since the new t-shirt range keeps growing. My wardrobe is now half "work clothes" and half "I'm not at work.. i.e. PH clothes"

Would be great if the range could keep growing!

Any chance you will be selling stuff at the meeting at Le Mans? It would be great if you happened to have a Union Jack Smiley and a PH LM 12 sticker available, much easier than you shipping it to the USA

I bought a T from the sale section on shotinthehead recently (mainly to check their sizing) and whilst I'm happy with what I got (for £5), if I'd paid the bigger part of £20 I'd have sent it back.

I'm therefore a bit concerned - there's a couple of T's I'd like but I'd like someone to say "they're actually a decent quality heavy T which will last" and not "they feel like something Asda sells for £4, which will be out of shape and thus a dishcloth in 3 washes" (it's actually not that bad, but it's thin and I reckon it will distort pretty quickly)

There's no branding on this T - the tag simple says "shotinthehead" - generally I like to see a reputable brand there (and one of their better quality range T's)

Anyone care to speak for the Pistonheads shirts specifically - are they, say, upto the standard of the better quality Fruit of the Loom/Haynes/Ringspun shirts?

In fairness you'd expect nothing less surely?

I got a shirt from spreadshirt which was double printed (a second, lighter 'ghost' image about 1" away from the first) and they tried to tell me it was deliberate tho - so you might have a point.

You probably got old stock from their old range. The new ones are great quality t's.

Afternoon all

Regarding the quality of the shirts I'd just like to put your minds at rest. We moved to a heavier shirt on May 1st. Prior to this we were using a lighter weight soft style t-shirt. Our sale shirts are printed on the old lighter weight shirt. All of our full price shirts are printed on the Gildan Premium range. These are 190g in weight and a really good quality shirt. We print and ship hundreds of shirts everyday and whilst we have an excellent quality control and returns rate occassionally the odd print sneaks out that shouldn't have. Please always get in touch with us straight away and rest assured we will sort it out immediately.

Slogan t-shirts are a bit tacky once you hit 30. I'm guessing the PH stickers on eBay are not authentic?

I agree that slogans are not for everyone, that's why we (try) to offer plainer shirts too.

Ebay stickers are not from us, and it's a constant job to mail all those who sell without our permission. I doubt we'll ever stop it completely, but they get removed fairly soon after we have contacted the sellers....our 'special letter' sees to that!

Hmmm, just found some rather nice T's in the PH shop, you're right, I prefer the non slogan ones myself.

As for the fake PH stickers on eBay, I'd have mentioned it before if I for certain they weren't genuine.

There was a BBC programme which for ages had an air ambulance featuring the PH logo on the side. I've always assumed that it was because PHers did an incredible job of raising cash for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in the wake of Richard Hammond's crash.

Glad to hear that the new T shirts are good quality. I'm looking forward to getting mine in a week or so.

Ahh.
I'm sure mine were from the "old" stock. hey're not just "soft stock" they're poor quality, lightweight cheap T shirts. I haven't worn them yet as I didn't think they'd survive a wash. Will you replace them in time for me to take them to Le Mans with the later decent quality items if I send you the details and the shirts (at your cost)?
By the way, I don't remember paying sale prices for them either, but I'll look out the order and confirm this.
