Maybe because you phrased it in the most stupid way possible. Just post a "what car thread" - don't try and hide that's exactly what you're asking. None of this "in my shoes bks" - post your budget, requirements and ask for a car. "One almost useful reply" from somebody that actually tried to help. I'll use your favourite word;
YOU'RE a five letter word beginning with P and ending in rick.
come on,YOU'RE a five letter word beginning with P and ending in rick.
it was clear what he was asking for, suggestions based on the criteria he mentioned.
you're busting his balls as if he's a stuttering, shy Amstrad employee asking Alan Sugar for a wage rise...

I doubt you'll get one at £500pcm with the deposit you have but I'd be looking at a 440i Gran Coupe.
Add a bit to the deposit and save £50 a month:https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...
Or there's an E400 coupe:

£500 a month seems like a decent budget but why the relatively small deposit. Without looking (because I CBA) I bet that's what is ruling out anything interesting in your criteria.
If you can wait until March 17 and get a new reg with a £4.5k deposit I imagine your options would be better.

I've ignored most of your criteria OP because abiding by it would mean I couldn't recommend what I'd get...

I want an Audi A6 Allroad, hence why I'm suggesting one...
So you can live my dream.
So you have the budget to afford a lot of interesting cars that you will eventually own once paid off, but would rather waste it on paying depreciation of something sh*t and end up with nothing?
I'd spend your £1000 on a thorough mental health assessment and go from there if I were you

I was in an audi dealership last month and test drove an a4 at around your budget, 3.0, 8 speed, virtual cockpit. A5 might have been a little cheaper with same engine as they're about to be replaced. Went over to the BMW showroom and they had a pre-registered 640d with six miles on the clock. No deposit, interest free pcp was around 600 a month. Perhaps the 430d would work for you?
It's a lease, but if you can man maths the deposit a bit, Alfa 4C for £3992 down and £499 pm
