Very interested to hear where that was from. About to sign up but would prefer an Avant and that deals good in comparison to my 'stock' car offers so far.
+1!

Ah! Factoring in the 5000 miles and assuming the excess mileage charge remains at 10.9p that's about £450 cheaper than my deal over the 24 months.

Hi all,

I am looking to lease the following :

Mercedes GLC 250d 4Matic AMG Line Premium Plus 5dr Auto

The best deal I have found was from Leasing Options

24 months 10k pa

23 * £457.96 Incl. VAT
Initial payment £2,747.76 Incl. VAT

Has anyone seen anything better or have any suggestions about where to go for a better deal

Many thanks

Dan

What cost were they last time? Thanks
I remember looking in detail and from memory total cost over two years was about £7500. This was for 10k per annum, manual, no options though.

The deal you posted is about 9.5k and with the deals available (20% off) for purchase, I would probably lean towards buying one.

Nearly 13.5k to lease a diesel softroader for 2 years. You must be mad - especially given the A4 Avant deals in the last couple of pages. See Touraeg and Q7 deals also.

The above figures might even get you into an S7/S8. The deal you posted is terrible.

You might be right. But we are looking for something that sits higher and is a bit more spacious and comfortable that an A4 for longer trips etc.

As mentioned, there are many better deals out there: http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/

I found the GLC to be tiny inside, more cramped than an A4 I'm sure in almost all respects.

Thanks for the advice re the GLC. Am test driving one this week. The A4 is a very nice car and the deals are great but we need something with more height as my wife has trouble getting in/out of lower cars

Seriously avoid that, terrible value for money.

As mentioned numerous time, with leasing you have to have an open mind e.g. you want a well kitted out soft-roader, expecting an exact make and model your on a hiding to nowhere. Fully loaded £50k+ Touareg's were less than that a few months back.

Yep and even with that the Touraeg deals are much better value and far nicer engine.

Depends how much you want the Audi/Merc badge I guess but when leasing, if you want value, you need to make compromises. There are some great deals out there if you're prepared to be flexible.

I do understand. Touareg is also on my list but at this stage want to try and get what I really want first and if the cost is too high then I'll consider other options. Best I can find for 24 months @ 10k pa on a Touareg R Line 262 is round £460 Incl VAT per month all in. Merc GLC is around £585 per month. So yes it is considerably more. I do get a very good car allowance.

Lets hope FastBug puts in an appearance at some point and confirms that really good deals are not available on this particular vehicle.

I am more than happy to accept other options and appreciate what everyone is saying

Thanks. I do really love the Q7 but it is a massive car. I'm trying to get something size wise that is in between a Q5 and a Q7 and the GLC seems to fit the bill. I may be proved wrong following a test drive though

Hi,

I'm thinking of leasing but having never done it before have a few (possibly silly) questions.

When you go direct to the dealer for a lease quote, is it simply a case of getting the best price you can online and then phoning up a local dealer and asking if they a) do offer lease and b) can beat or match the price? Do you phone the local dealer? I take it they're all linked, I mean there's no point me phoning up an Audi dealer in Oxford because I've seen someone's got a good offer there when there's one much closer to me?

If I see an offer with a company based in the north and I'm based in the south, does the car come from the north?

Thanks, will no doubt ask more questions soon!
Sort of, but not quite. Some dealers will play ball, others won't. My local Audi dealer didn't want to know, hence I went to Oxford as it is only an hour from me but in the end I don't care, they would deliver the car to my house if needed.

Yes, you call the dealer and arm yourself with the deal you've been offered and see what they can do. They are not always financed in the same way, so sometimes the brokers get better deals because of the finance company they use.
