I have a Seat Leon lease expiring in around 11 months time. Normally I'd hand it back and get a new one but I'm going to only need a car for 1 more year after that before moving abroad. Is it possible to extend a lease or to lease a car for 1 year?
If someone on here told you 'yes', would you believe them, bearing in mind they don't know who your lease is with? Read your contract or ask the lease company!!!Beefmeister said:

Absolutely no intention of getting a vRS or why you compared them I also have no connection with them, but the deal you dismiss comes in at £6147 and includes Sat Nav and metallic paint, so not so sure it sts on it?
Ah ok, I hadn't seen that Simpsons is now down to £159/m. Last time I looked it was £179/m pisjo said:

My first lease (Focus ST 3 Diesel) goes back in June.
When should I be looking to arrange a new vehicle? Also, in other peoples experience, when do the best deals tend to come out? December? Or in the New Year? Are there times in the calendar that you seasoned leasers keep tabs on that tend to be when the best value deals come up?

Start looking in Feb. Bear in mind that a lot of cars have a 12 week+ lead time if they are factory orders (particularly VW Group cars). When should I be looking to arrange a new vehicle? Well allegedly you get good deals end-of-year to close out numbers for Q4. Although I don't think that has materialised particularly this year with the best deals having being in Q3.
Plus, with the terrible £ rate at the moment, very good deals might be a little harder to come by. I'd suggest just pouncing on anything that is good when you can come March time next year.

I'd be interested to know how you found your ST3 Diesel over the term - and what the deal was if you are willing to share? When should I be looking to arrange a new vehicle? I've not seen any deals on these recently but I really like the estate after test driving one a few weeks back.
As I'm looking at estates and to keep the thread on track - noted Simpsons Skoda are doing:
Skoda Superb 2.0 150 - SE Technology Estate (metallic paint also)
10k per annum
1+23
£249 + £249 x 23
£5,976 over the term - not bad for a family car / motorway commuter with lots of space - especially if you're not fussed about the VRS deal and want something bigger / more comfy.

Was hoping I might be able to delay the delivery of my next vehicle if I find a good deal in December/January for a June delivery. The Focus ST3 D I got was via a SmartLease provided by Hitachi finance. £176 inc vat a month 8k per year £2k inc vat down.I've not seen any deals on these recently but I really like the estate after test driving one a few weeks back.
Expensive excess mileage of 22p! Also a tiered excess mileage system so at one point looked like I was going to be very badly stung but I've clawed it all back now thanks to my Mrs loaning me her car here and there.
God knows how anyone manages on 5k miles?!
Lessons learnt from this experience would be to try and get a competitive quote from a dealer for better excess charges.
