Firstly sorry for a repeat posting in here but had no response in main forum and thought it may of cropped up on recent deals done?
In the process of setting up a new lease, I have agreed the quote and now being asked to provide a £500 holding deposit which will be refunded on delivery of the car?
I have done leases before and never been asked to do this. Anybody aware of this practice?
Thanks

I was asking if it was any good as a car not the ins and outs of what the deal costs etc I can work everything out for myself, the thread just descends into O/T tripe.
To be fair, it is a thread on the best lease deals. You posted a deal and said it was £300 all in.
Someone replied, 'it is £360 all in isn't it?'
You then had a right Reg and said you were asking for reviews. Which I would argue is the bit taking it off topic.
The new C Class is excellent.
Really does move things on a notch, far nicer than the current E Class and dare I say it, a different level trim wise and feel to the new 3 series.
Handles fine, but is very comfy and feels 'luxurious' again, something Merc have missed out on recently.
All in all I very nearly pulled the trigger on a C200 Sport estate with premium pack and auto last week, but decided I wanted to stay with a 4x4 as the family car.
But really does feel like the have moved the game on with what is expected from a 'premium' marque in this segment.

But this is a thread about the deals, so it's hardly surprising that people would talk about the ins and outs of what the deal costs. Talking about numbers in a thread about lease deals is not OT, it's exactly what the thread is about. If anything asking for car reviews on a C Class is the OT aspect of a thread on deals.Stick up a separate thread about whether the new C is any good versus it's rivals and you'll get bags of useful replies.

The is it this or is that per month has been done to death, asking about a new lease car on what seems like a decent deal is bang on topic.
Covering ground that has already wasted pages and pages of this thread is pointless.

Couldn't care less whether the deal is any good, but the engine on that car is a joy to drive. All in at less than £300 per month, decent performance and the latest generation.

Sorry, but you're wrong IMO. This thread is about the in and outs of lease deals, what they really cost, and what the genuinely best deals are. Whether or not a car is good or not and how it performs against its rivals is off-topic and can be answered in other threads.
