Depends if you think the £15 a month is worth it, i'm edging to towards no (its for the wife really) as the price is very much the driver here. Thanks all regarding the G2L recommendations.
Just need to know if this one needs proof of being able to claim business mileage!

Anything better for the money? I don't think this can be beaten so will have to move pretty quickly on it. Wife wants to see one first so off to local dealer tonight.

May have been worth checking with your local Ford dealer - mine have said they think they can match ANY lease deal I can find online as they'd rather have the business (even as a loss leader) than not have it at all.The one i'm looking at is with Rivervale: http://www.rivervaleleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/ford...

The Golf GTD at £213.99 with a deposit is cheaper, excess mileage is 7p inc VAT. They have cars for January delivery.
Much appreciated for the heads up, I'd been looking at GTD's as well. Where is that £213.99 deal?illmonkey said:

A loss leader? You don't go to a dealer and buy 20 cars, you buy one. That is silly.
Milk is a lost leader.
Volume main dealers like Ford and Vauxhall often sell the smaller, cheaper cars in the range at a loss initially in order to sell the numbers required to achieve target or exceed it, and then pick the huge manafacturer bonuses that turn it all into profit.Milk is a lost leader.
If they don't hit the target by normal sales they then end up having to pre reg a load of cars in order to meet it, which will cost them more than selling new units at a slight loss.

I agree it probably is true but pedantically speaking, it still doesn't meet the definition of 'loss leader'.
I used to work in the industry and can assure you it is true. I worked in both Vauxhall and Mazda dealerships and Mazda 2 and Corsa where often sold at a paper loss. Especially at the end of a quarter in order to hit target or the next incentive level above target.Generally speaking there is very little profit for the dealer in a new car at this level, a few hundred quid at best. The money is made from the add on's like GAP, paint protection, service plans, alloy and dent insurance and bonus payments from the manafacturer.
