I may want to take that over if it was at a competitive rate - PM me if you are serious.

David
Spoke to the dealer yesterday he said this will change and last week I was due in March so going to leave it thank you David...

The other car I was interested in was S3 Sportback but that is 6 months too so I am no better off
Deal I got was £1700 down and £280 a month on 8k for the R line

There's just no way on earth I could pay £240/m for a Nissan Leaf. That's i3 money.
But the i3 is useless if you need a 5 seater.

There was a deal recently advertised on the ZOE owners club FB page for the outgoing model.

£99 deposit
£180/month (car & battery)
7.5k miles per annum.

That's a bit more like it but still not as good as they were 2 years ago.

Due to the utter incompetence of Seat Stoneacre, Peterborough, I am assuming my Leon Cupra is not going to materialise.

Anyone know of anything nice, quick, fun, fast delivery for up to £350pm amortised cost 2 years.

Preferably petrol and fairly small/medium sized.

Various brokers have had in stock Polo GTis & Golf GTD estates recently that would be well under your budget. But I guess both would likely be a bit of a let down if you were expecting a Cupra.

A load of mumbo jumbo
You discount the 1 series based on interior being 'familiar' yet you're willing to entertain an older e class with an interior that that IMO is naff when compared to a modern Ford, let alone a modern BMW.

Both that E Coupe and the 5 series are no longer in production because they are to be replaced in the immediate future, hence the discounts on them. the 5er isn't even a 6 pot so why that is in for consideration I have no idea.

The new E saloon is not cheap either at the thick end of £10k for 2 years. They have £7k off on DTD and the GMFV from Mercedes is 19125 after 3 years, That gives a cost of £12,400 for 3 years assuming you would be left with no equity, which is very unlikely given its a new shape. More likely you would have £2k minimum in it so would have paid near as damn it the same for an extra year.

FYI, if you're doing 10k or less mpa, then the difference between 36MPG and 26MPG over a year is circa £500.
The 5 series is under consideration because of the deal, m sport 5 series are fantastic looking cars, my favourite and for it to be had for only 300 pounds can't be ignored! Plus the interior of the 5 is different to the 1 series.

While you may be right about the e class coupe being dated inside, the ones they're giving out are the AMG Line editions that come with the 19inch alloys and those LED lights and in black, it looks gorgeous...imo of course, always have to throw one of those in like a disclaimer haha

I'm not after 36 mpg, I'm after a lot more, I was just pointing out that a weekends worth of flat out driving in the 330d returned an over all 36 mpg, that is impressive, mixed driving it could easily return 45 which is what I want.

At 23 years old,I can JUST about manage 440 for the e350 but I can't ignore a new shape e class that's hardly on the roads or better yet a 520d m sport for JUST 305 a month, that's too cheap to ignore......ah for god sake, what do I do.....I want a 3.0 diesel but I can barely afford one. There must be a way!

Insurance is actually very cheap, a lot cheaper than my type r, I have factored in everything, I am not materialisc, yes of course the cars I'm thinking about are bmws and mercs but being materialistic is buying 500 pound trainers, not longing for a solid powerful comfortable piece of engineering ha! I've been toying with the idea of getting a new car since June and I have been patient, I don't want to commit to anything until I am actually sure, that's why i have been on here a few times asking people what they think!

Sorry but that's bks, I drive a 330d day in day out and in mixed driving I get 34MPG. My commute is relatively short (~12miles) but I do about 12k pa.

Unless you are doing 100 mile runs on a regular basis you will not get more than top 30s average IME, unless you have a 30+ mile commute with no congestion or traffic lights.

This is way O/T anyway.

Hoping for some better deals in Q1, specifically on German metal, hoping the last couple of days GBP/EUR bounce continues...

I happen to disagree with you on that. I have a pre-LCI (2008) e92 330d manual, and I get 46-48mpg on my commute (granted that is sat at 70 on a motorway). But when not commuting, I drive it pretty hard, and in mixed town/country road driving, my mpg has never dropped below 36mpg - will sit around the 39mpg with general use.

What 330d do you drive?

LCI E92.

Your figures seem very similar to what I described though (top 30's) so not sure where you disagree?

Ibiza Cupra?

https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/Seat_...

I'm sure there were some Leon FR (diesel) 184 deals posted on here on recent pages too - 7.something 0-60, 142mph.

Neither are apparently that fun, though, but both are from the same stable.

Thanks for the headsup on this.

With the VAT, it looks like it's about £100 more expensive to do a 1+23 @ 186.26.

I'm tempted by the 4x4 version with more power @ £215.57 1+23:

They're not too bad once you consider the fuel savings. This one is a little cheaper, lodge interior, plus some more miles.
