Car salesmen from hell
Discussion
Not a salesman from hell but I recently helped my Dad find a new car. Looked at a few dealerships for him, we narrowed the replacement down to two options.
Had one of the dealerships phone up this morning "Oh just wanted to know if we can help"
"No thanks, we're good"
"Oh, why's that?"
"Well, you offered £30k less as a trade-in than a competing dealer, that didn't really help your cause, especially when you're a known trader for high price examples of exactly the kind of car we're P/Xing"
"Oh, OK. Thanks"

Yes, just a little bit. I'm not one of these people that expects car dealers to be charities, but five minutes through the classifieds and you get a rough idea of what cars are worth. And you know what kind of margins dealers are going for.
It didn't help they were trying to act like they were doing us a favour. Oh well. Cost them a £180k sale and a nice p/x. Never mind.
