Of those I'd say front sensors would be necessary, how much are those alone?

Just got off the phone to fleet prices, simpsonsskoda and freedom contracts.

So far it seems fleetprices are providing the better offer for a Automatic 2.0 Scout.

My question to you all is, do you think having the following options are necessary -

Crew protection assist and rear side airbags
Front Parking Sensor

It will be the first time for both my misses and I to have a longer car. We live in a heavily populated area with street parking, that gets very full.
We will have 2 children in the back for trips every month such as the zoo, parks etc so will the additional safety be necessary or is it just a gimmick?

Both the Crew protection and Front parking sensors comes to around £800
which is an additional £33.10 a month inc VAT on the £244 a month Auto Scout (£1.3k deposit)
Sounds like a waste of time, I've gone absolutely stock. No need to add options. The bonnet isn't very big and our parents just put us in the back in a cot with no seat belt so I reckon it's a fair bit safer than that...

Has anyone who ordered the Fiesta Zetec S deal from Rivervale received their car yet? I've been waiting since early December and they still can't give me a date.
Just got a call from Duncan @ Rivervale. The Fiestas will be at the dealers in Birmingham tomorrow Fri 20th. Earliest delivery he could do me was next Fri 27th.
Thanks for the info. Hopefully i'll be getting the same call shortly.
Still no concrete info. Apparently some cars are coming in today and mine might be one of them.
Can't understand how you can be given a delivery date while they don't even know where mine is.

Simpsonsskoda sent me a quote for a PCH, however in small writing it states - ONLY FOR BUSINESS USERS ONLY.
Why would it state that if its for a PCH?

Very interested in the Touareg deal after recently getting a Golf R on lease but Mrs D wants to keep the current Discovery... Grrrr! First world problems and all that!

My Father has done 140K miles in his mk. 1 Touareg and raves about it.

Deal comparison, personal contract

Bmw 5 Series Diesel Touring 520d M Sport 5dr Step Auto
CentralUKVL
Initial: £2483 / £275.99 x24 / TCO including docs : £9287 = £386.99/month equivalent

Bmw 5 Series Diesel Touring 520d SE 5dr Step Auto
EasternWesternfleetservices
Initial: £1721 / £295.20 x24 / TCO including docs : £8805 = £366.91/month equivalent

Aside from the msport vs SE, the latter looks to be a reasonable deal?

Are your kids of an age for Child seats with side head rests? If so I can't see side rear airbags being any use?

Reasonable deal on a new Focus ST Diesel 5dr with Nav:

http://www.gateway2lease.com/z_ford_newfocus_2.0td...

£214.79 inclusive of VAT per month
24 Month Contract
6+23 Payment Profile
Initial Payment = £1073.94 (Excl. VAT)
Administration fee = £150.00(Excl. VAT)
8,000 miles per annum
Metallic Paint

Only real GTD/120d alternative?
Tempting, and I'm sure a Ford dealer would match/beat it.

Except for.....
SEAT Leon FR TDI 185 5 dr
Initial Rental: £1,019.94 + VAT
23 monthly rentals of: £169.99 + VAT
Documentation Fee: £199.99 + VAT
For those of you thinking Leon is not GTD/120D equivalent, is a Focus?
These Leon Deals really are the elephant in the room in this sector.
Anyway I've got to keep quiet about them as mine's not due until Sept.

Looks like a decent deal and hadn't really thought of it - good shout.
£250/month on a fully maintained 3/23 term with 10k miles is pretty impressive.
Will be calling them for a quote.

Thanks smile

Just put in an order on the Octavia vRS TDI. My local dealer were able to match the Simpsons deal and throw in maintenance (in exchange for slightly shafting me on my PX, by way of some kind of mutual understanding).

Summary:
Skoda Octavia vRS TDI 5dr Hatch
24 months
8k mpa (7.2p/mile excess inc. VAT)
£1500 deposit inc. VAT
£199 per month inc. VAT

Also supposedly current build orders (including mine) are supposedly having the basic sat nav added to them FOC. Dealer reckoned that they may be about to alter the standard spec.

Sometimes on these deals its cheaper to cash the options upfront rather than splitting over the monthly rentals.
