Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 3)

I just think people are trying to force Golf R's. The deals are bad and until VW see a sheer drop in orders, the prices will stay bad.
As in the customers are wanting them because they are expecting good deals, rather than VW trying to force them (which is why the deals were good before)?TomScrut said:

We've been spoiled with the previous golf R deals - and now people have a taste of how good the golf R is, many people want the new one. But the deals are just...not there right now, but I think a lot of people want to think a current deal is still pretty good (because it may be the best of a bad bunch), so they get back into the car. That being said, each car is worth a different monthly payment to each person. Jonno02 said:

I agree, I have one at the moment but the current deals aren't worth it. I have an S5 on the way as it was the best price/spec/performance I could find. The R ans S3 weren't a lot cheaper, smaller and less spec.TomScrut said:

Agreed, seen a lot of chatter about the S5 deals. I love my VAG cars, but as wemorgan said, the PCP deals on the hot BMW's that have been pointed out are extremely nice and I'd be looking at them if I was switching soon.Jonno02 said:

Yeah I would have considered them too, I like 4WD really though and not keen on BMW interiors. I also like the extra boot space the S5 offers vs the Golf.wemorgan said:
The current PCP deals on M140/240 look better value than the PCH Golf R deals I've seen so far.
Good cars and mint engine I just cant bear the standard alloys, and obviously no point in paying around 4k last time I checked to get the m sport alloys on a car that will be handed back in 2 years. Also fancied the 340I because of the engine, but nothing about on them either that I could see...
The S5 deals are back via Central - https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/...
and Vehiclesavers have a list of pre-facelift Golf R's which I've attached... For a 5dr DSG and Metallic paint on a 3+23 it's coming out at about £330/month.

Works out at £11741.77, minus the £440 VED increase gets us to £11301.77 which is only around £100 more than the November pricing which is good.I deleted the extra VED merely for comparing to the November prices so we could tell if the deal itself was comparable.
This is all assuming they aren't cancelled orders that are already built/in build? I doubt that will be the case though.
They also have the S4 Saloon here for a bit more money:

But why you would get that instead of the S5 I have no idea, the S5 is more practical with the hatchback boot, and the S4 has some nasty (in design, not being a snob about wheel sizes) 18" wheels vs the S5s 19"

Just a warning for people regarding S5.I deleted the extra VED merely for comparing to the November prices so we could tell if the deal itself was comparable.

Mine was due build start on 1st May.
Came forward two weeks to 17th April but today has been pushed back a month to 15th May.
Mine was supposed to be a March delivery car, but was delayed until May Delivery, so customer cancelled. No chance of getting it in May if its not being built until 15h. Maybe my car will be eternally delayed and i'm just unlucky.

Don't forget that M140's don't come with cruise control as standard - you need to tick the "comfort pack" option. Another thing to look out for when leasing.
Yeah its often better to pay a bit more for the higher standard spec car than get the cheap base price car and add extras. Not applicable in this case as the M140 is the best spec you can get "as standard" on a 1 series but may be useful to somebody browsing.furtive said:

Your cost is 17940 for 3 years.
The horrendously expensive lease above is 13722 for 2 years.
Shop around for some lease prices at about 25% of RRP, which would be about 8kish for 2 years on a 30k or so.
