Hi All,
Yesterday I requested one of the Leon Cupra 290 Black's through Keith at CVL. He's been spot on so far, even replying to my emails on a Sunday. I called him earlier and asked about the progress and he said they had been swamped by requests for Cupra's and the Golf R's. He also said that I was in the question queue for one and was expecting to hear back hopefully by COB today. I asked him whether they come with heated seats. He wasn't sure. I know some of you guys were saying that my16 Leon's don't have them standard but my17's do. Surely if they take 12 weeks to get to us then they are factory orders and should be my17 with heated seats standard?

I applied for a Leon with CVL early on Friday afternoon but switched to a Golf R with a dealer this afternoon as I wasn't getting anything but promises of imminent updates. Seemed like nice guys but they are obviously waiting on things out of their control so some doubt crept in and I need to get into a car.Yesterday I requested one of the Leon Cupra 290 Black's through Keith at CVL. can you make the suspension softer?
Yes, you can it's called DCC. Perfect for the person who wants a Golf R for an odd blast using the sport mode or whatever it's called but who's wife, who will use it as a daily, can have a comfier journey and doesn't give me grief about giving her an uncomfortable car. Nothing wrong with that, we don't all want firm sports type suspension all the time. I get to have a thrash as and when and she gets a nice'ish soft riding Golf.I just don't get where you're coming from on this question, perfectly reasonable question to ask on here as it's not really available on the internet.
Golf R people, there is already a thread waiting for you here:

NON GOLF R RELATED :-)
Was going to accept the CVL Cupra Black deal then I tried the local Seat dealer where I get mine serviced, they have got to about £300 away but offered to buy my Leon off me for £1k more than WBAC so no brainer really, just going to get the approval from her indoors and i'm in.
GOLF R RELATED
I would love one but she hates golf's (had 3 Leons practically the same car) don't think I'll be able to persuade her.

why not sell the current car privately as that would definitely bridge the cost gap?Was going to accept the CVL Cupra Black deal then I tried the local Seat dealer where I get mine serviced, they have got to about £300 away but offered to buy my Leon off me for £1k more than WBAC so no brainer really, just going to get the approval from her indoors and i'm in.

I'm thinking of doing another G2L C1 deal, it works about £135 PCM for 12 months and 10k miles.
Anyone seen any car for 12 or 18 months cheaper than this?

I just don't get where you're coming from on this question, perfectly reasonable question to ask on here as it's not really available on the internet.
My other half uses the golf r for her work commute (50 miles a day covering town, motorway & a-road) and has never commented on the suspension being firm or otherwise. Has your wife had a shot of one yet?
Mine only complains if I leave it in race mode for her.

Aha! The nice and confusing VW technology option strike again - what you talk of it Car Net App, which the Alltrack, and I suspect all VWs with Nav may come with - it uses your phone as a Wifi hotspot to download Google traffic and news and weather etc and is FoC for 3 years - pretty useless as far as I can tell
tbh the cool thing about Car-Net App Connect is this:Edited by Emeye on Monday 4th July 16:09
"App Connect – three innovative technologies that allow you to bring smartphone apps onto your infotainment system’s touchscreen: the established MirrorLink™ apps, the new CarPlay™ function from Apple, and the Android Auto™ function from Google"
basically I want to use Android Auto. It's as simple as that
Looking into whether it can be retrofitted. I'd heard the opposite.

Depends on if you have the mute or voice button in the bottom left."App Connect – three innovative technologies that allow you to bring smartphone apps onto your infotainment system’s touchscreen: the established MirrorLink™ apps, the new CarPlay™ function from Apple, and the Android Auto™ function from Google"

It can't be retrofitted to my missus's Sept 15 Tiguan - no-one seems sure why, but something to do with it having a non-Apple compatible USB socket?I wouldn't have expected an issue on a newer model, but you never know with VW.
