Is this the more hardcore version or the more luxurious version?

I prefer the headlights to the standard one and those wheels!!

Go get one!

I wonder if Charles would take my car in part ex? I bought mine through Mole Valley too.

Only problem would be luggage space as I don't have another car!

Well, sure they'll do a PX (Mike there used that as a selling point - "would always try to but back cars from his customers") but don't hold your breath for a good deal - they'll want to make £2-5K on your car.

Re luggage space - yes, not much in a Noble and the luggage set seems very pricey to me at £500 - does anyone have a cousin in the rag-trade who could run up a set using some snide Louis Voutton material on the cheap?! :-)

joust said: Email from Lee Noble to the owners confirmed both LSD and gearbox was from Quaife. However - Quaife only really do "internals" - so it will still be mostly Ford on the casing and input/output shafts I would imagine......
But then what do I know

Oppss - Charles at MoleV just spoke to Lee about this

"The six speed is Ford. Just spoken to Lee, and the Quaife bit was meant to refer to if and when the "Track" day version of an M12 is done. Of course the LSD is made by Quaife"

So the 6 speed box is Ford.

The 6 speed is the MMT6 transmission, from the Mondeo ST220 I think.

Anyone know the max safe torque for the 6 speed Ford box??

I guess that is what dictates the max limit of power/torque from the engine. 0.7 bar isn't that much boost, really...

The Noble could really be quite preposterously silly if the gearbox could handle big torque. How's about same weight car, but 500 bhp????

Sounds like I need to be in the queue for the new gearbox...

My 2.5 upgrade will take it to 0.9. I think I've heard Lee or Charles saying the new gearbox takes "400ish" bhp max, with the GTO-T having a Quaife for 500bhp ish - might be wrong though.

Certainly next thing for my 2.5l is the new gearbox before I can get JNM to tweak the engine some more.

I'll speak to Charles over the next few days and see what I can find out.

It was announced at the motor show - An all out nutter bar steward track variant of the M12 - more power, sequential 6 speed box, carbon panels, fire extinguisher etc. Something that could run against the Tuscan GT class. I think the focus on the 3R has meant that it's on the back burner somewhat.

Although maybe they'll turn up with a surprise at the London Motor Expo in a coupe of weeks ?

Are you looking to upgrade your car Joust?
A carbon fibre Noble sounds too good doesn't it!

I went for a blat in the Tuscan and I'm not sure I could swap! I bought a Dyson hoover and 10l tub of emulsion and it took the lot as well!

Seeing as it's my only car it is rather practical at the same time!

Hmm - never been convinced - ok there is a small weight gain - but the cost of repair

I've got a GTC on order and I think I'll stick to that.

Fair point. I like the look of the GTC but not the headlights.

Think I'll stick to the Tuscan for the foreseeable unless something drastic hapens to the TVR (touch wood!)

+20kg would be a lot more diff. Some of the extra weight will be from the additional sound deadening put into the 3R...

Lee's perfectly open about the timescales with owners and potential owners - certainly when I was chatting with him he told me the exact reasons and the timescales for my GTC.

Compared to some other manufacturers the production and delivery dates of this stuff are somewhat amazing to me given how small the company is!
