Hello the Marshall. Welcome to the forum.
You seem to have some good knowledge and contacts. Can you share who you are or how you get them?

where can we find out information about the new lee noble project ?
All will be revealed. I have been lucky enough to see the nucleus of his new toy and I have pledged him my money already! Not for me to say what it is as I have been taken into his confidence but it will turn heads, hearts and pulses too! I, like many others, am really pleased to see Lee back in action doing what he does best. making stonking cars that are fun and with none of the bullst that has been Noble for the last 3 or 4 years.
how long do we need to wait ?

can you tell us which engine will be fitted ?
Gadge, I think the main question should be who is going to back this venture, as looking back, it dont strike as a very good investement!!

Mmmm, interesting. The answer is that the investment is there and the prototype is in production. All I would add is to suggest you think back to the days of Lee Noble before the investors got involved. He produced good cars that did the job and at sensible prices. So lets just say he has gone retro in respect of the business and it is the best thing Lee could have done for him and all of us.

When was that?
Noble as a car maker has always had investors AFAIK - Moy, Jones etc. Or are we talking pre M10 era, eg ultima and P4 kits?

Hopefully this time he'll get a few varied and different opinions on the new cars looks before going ahead!! Maybe using a designer might be a good idea.

If Lee were ever to produce a stunning looking car I'd say he'd be onto a goldminewink

Hi N2H. Thanks for the welcome. I can't really divulge who I am at this moment in time for a variety of reasons. The knowledge I have and the news I get to hear is due to me being close to several sources of information.
I have respected Lee for a number of years and support him in what he does. I have also seen him shafted several times just because he can be a bit too soft and trusting. A lot of people owe Lee Noble for where they are and what they have achieved and I guess I include myself in there in a small way.
Whatever I say though is true and is my opinion or my knowledge and is said to help others make informed decisions in this often Bullstting industry. I recall a famous and wealthy man saying to me that in motorsport, you never get your last pay cheque and boy was he right. The same goes in any branch of performance cars in my experience.

maybe he should just be left alone to design the cars? Was the M12 not a stunning piece of equiptment that has been kind of copied a fair bit? I know what you mean though Mr Noble.

TheMarshall...welcome.

Call me a cynic, but how do we know you are not Lee Noble?...or Carol Noble?... or not a pimpley 14 year old out to cause mischief?

I want to believe everything you say...I want the next (Lee) Noble...and I don't want the next corperate/comittee disigned car with a Noble badge on the nose...so please tell us everything you know or nothing at all.

Martin.

and a lot of dead customers and cars in scrap yards hehe.

However lets hope this new car that has just cropped up will be taken to a wind tunnel by Lee, and not the owners.

And is tested properly before going on sale!!
Lee is very good at creating a good car, crap at selling them IMO.

Hi Jenx,

I am not Lee or Carol or anywhere near 14 (thank god) The fact that I can spell and write in English should give that away!

If I was to tell all that I know it would jeopardise what Lee is currently doing behind closed doors, you must realise that?

I am just pleased that he is getting back on his feet and as a mate and a fan of his designs and his brand I am happy for him.

I also know that he has a lot of support out there in the car world but currently, after all he has been through of late, I think he doubts it a little. So, if I can raise his profile, raise the hopes of all of us supporters and ensure his name carries on while he is developing this new car then I feel I am doing him a good service.

Noble stopped being Lee's Noble years ago, and that was a shame. He designed a beuatiful car with the M14 and then the M15 but the twonks that were running / financing the business did not have a clue. If lee had been allowed to forge ahead with the M14 and put it into production his backers would be a lot wealthier and the brand would still be something to be proud of. Alas, money and brains do not alway's go together.

I am not out to cause any mischief Jenx, although that could be fun in some quarters, and I understand where you are coming from. I can assure you that the next car will be to your liking and very much NOT a committe / corporate car. I really can't say more than that. Oh I should say one other thing. Lee has no input at all to my musings here on Piston heads and his not privvy to them unless he logs on.

Hope that all helps?

All this sounds very exciting and I am sure that the majority of the Nobility would love to see a fresh 'Lee' project.
Unfortunately unless the writer is prepared to give substantiated facts, all comments are worthless. They only fuel rumours which are essentially damaging to the brand.
I'm sure that in the fullness of time we'll know the truth and until then everything I see or read must be regarded as heresay.

There are two sides to every story.

Unlikely.
Why?
Do you not think it'll get that far?
Not now it won't as Lee has setlled the case with Dyson. He has done this to safeguard his family and their home. Knowing what I do I would never ever trust Noble (company) with my money. I can also say that certain people at the top in the company should not be trusted and are nasty pieces of work indeed. Look out for the new Lee Noble project. It will certainly bring some smiles to some faces when it is launched!
When I posted that reply to Nasthan I already knew the settlement was done, hence my comment. It is strange that the paper in question that "broke" the story got the story from people that knew that it was already settled. One has to wonder therefore what the incentive was to break that story in the way that they did....

I can confirm what Mr Marshall has posted so far as well is indeed correct. If people are astute they would also have seen some other snippets of information on here about what Lee is now up to, but I'll let people work that out for themselves.

AFAIK Noble was effectivly bankrupt before dyson stepped in, suppliers were not getting paid, parts supply was terrible for owners etc.
IMO, Lee Noble is a very good automotive engineer, but a useless salesman and director.
I love the way people speculate on things they don't know, and generally end up writing rubbish in the process.

Noble has never been "effectivly bankrupt".

So.....Do you still have a deposit down on the M(something or other)? Or have you been sufficiently tempted by this new project to hold back and see what Lee creates himself next?
