HELP WET CARPETS

Just had my M12 2.5 a week and I've discovered that the carpets are getting wet, both near side and offside. It's not coolant and doesn't appear to be screen wash. Could it be from the Air con ?
I can't find any trace of damp above the level of the carpet and it's only in the front most part of the footwell on both sides.
There's not a great deal of water, though enough to wet the carpets.

Any ideas of where to look next would be grately appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Could well be the case, though I don't think that it's been wet yet.
Apart from only a small amount of water on a damp sponge to wipe it over.
I hope to get it up on ramps soon to drop the oil etc. I'll have a better look then.

I've now sealed the seams from the inside. I hope to get the car up on a ramp on Saturday to do the outer seams. Meanwhile, see my thread on the dipstick ! It broke..
