If trade were paying £62500 for a used Emira, what margin does it leave them? WBAC show them at mid £40’s. I can’t see any trader wanting to buy in at that level
I don't know. I suspect the Motorway price is highly speculative on what one might achieve based on very limited data. The WBAC value is the more instructive. Losing £30k in a year is a painful place to be full of Porsache Taycan owners...There will be some owners eventually who come out of finance, have changed circumstances and need to sell. If the trade are offering £48k then they'll be on Autotrader for low 50's.
At which point, with the running in completed, the first year car tax paid and the recalls all done they will look attractive to me.

Cheapest actual car now is a Red 23 reg with white interior at Sytner Cardiff for £69,500.
I notice Lotus now have an 'available cars' button on their website, which never used to be there. Take your pick from one of the cancelled orders and instantly lose £20k.

I still don't get how this attitude has infected buying a car I know it's been nice running cars for a very short period of time when they didn't lose anything but it was never going to last forever.I notice Lotus now have an 'available cars' button on their website, which never used to be there. I can go out for lunch tomorrow with my wife and instantly lose up to a grand if I want to, all I'm left with is the memories of the experience and what I flush down the toilet the next day.

Different things entirely... I went out last night in Lagos with a friend and ran up a large tab drinking rare Tequillas... I didn't lose money, I spent it doing something I enjoy. For me, I couldn't spend £90,000 on a brand new Emira, when I know an eight month old one with less than 3000 miles is just over £70,000.
