If anyone was / is thinking about a 5exi, but crossed it off their list due to the lack of doors, well get it back on now!

Yep! Marlin are now offering the option of doors.

Should have some pics shortly.

Presumably they can't be retrofitted to existing kits (ie yours!)

If so, how annoyed are you about that?

Does it really need doors?

Doors would help persuade some people (like my wife!) that it is usable as a daily driver.....

Surely it will compromise the whole design?

Ade

I'm not worried. Personally I would have bought what I have, even if the version with doors were available at the time.

As for the similarities between the 5exi and the Strathcarron:

I did a little research about this. I have been informed (from someone close to Strathcarron) that Mark @ Marlin bought the rights to use the body shape for the 5exi.

The Strath' uses it's own headlights, uses a Triumph bike engine and is a monocoque construction.

um,
Notice anything that makes you think in this picture?

I can't believe they used the rubber mounts with the Rover logo in a Marlin 5Exi, fair enough the drive-train and engine, but surely not the rubber dash bits.

Having said that, what a crap dash, I would have thought that the demonstrator would have a better internal than that
