Ah, that's soooo much better - with the roof gone that really sorts out the issues I had in my own head with the coupe. And the clam means that bonnet's gone as well. And the Elise rear light setup gone. It just gets better and better.
From the pics it looks brilliant. 12 options. everyone catered for. Very impressive.

Might be me getting old or the angle of the photo but:
Without the screen it looks kind of "dumpy"
The white side panel is too much of a contrast or too small, suggest increase and maybe pale blue
White seats look chav
My fave was always the gold/orange coupe which as I have said before reminded me of the Lenham GT
Yeh it's probably my age.......

Wasn't expecting that colour scheme! Defo marmite paint job.
Needs dropping and bigger wheels imho (is there any MEV vehicle these wheels haven't been on?!)
Those wheels, oh Smash you spotted the commonality damn! They were only £400 a set inc tyres so I could not resist getting a few sets. Marmite it is, I like the paint but am not 100% sure to be honest. I was looking for a scheme that was beyond normality. I think I found it! The car is 80mm wider than an MX5 and the wheels are zero offset so no spacers are required. I did paint the door section matt black and then tried carbon flavoured wrap and it looked a little dull so I got the white out and splattered the wheels whilst I was at it. The seats came from our white Exocet which now has a race seat in and I made the dash and instrument unit in white grp to match. I was waiting for the rain to stop so I could get a different angle photo. Lower and 3/4 front is the one I should have clicked. At the moment the 2d photo is not doing it justice. I agree it looks a little fat and tall in the picture. Please come and say Hi at at Stoneleigh and see X5 Superlight in real life Sun/MonNeeds dropping and bigger wheels imho (is there any MEV vehicle these wheels haven't been on?!)
Stuart, the first place I shall be coming to at Stoneleigh is your stand.
This prospect may of course not be fill you with joy!!
However I just have to see these kits for myself. They are that good. These are truly excellent designs and with the advantages of the simple one donor build, are without question the best Kit Cars available in the UK currently.
One of the primary advantages these kits offer, over those of your competitors, in the UK Kit Scene, is the inherent advantages gained from basing the kit on a donor vehicle, from a quality manufacture, that was initially designed itself to provide precisely the same use, numbers of passengers, weight and purpose of vehicle.
This is an absolutely excellent way, to reduce build difficulties and mismatching, and clearly must make these cars a joy to build with well matched components by virtue of being one donor.
There are huge disadvantages to building a Bitsa, from many donor vehicles, some of which were saloons with unsuitable spring and damper rates, and meeting difficulties with components not matching and simply not working together well, as I know to my lasting costs over many such builds personally. That is not something I would readily repeat!
You deserve huge success with this line of development and I have no doubt you will get it. Well done indeed these are truly excellent Kit Cars. Keep it up. I look forward to meeting you again and seeing the cars in the flesh, on Saturday.

Don't think i'm keen on the fly screen. Would look a bit better with a traditional "wrap-around" with some slanting side screen on the doors.
I hope you don't mind my MS paint rendition... how about this? Note that the squareish format of the original picture made the car look a bit squashed (landscape format FTW)

Side screens look very good, they add to my slight retro theme too. Perspex out in the morning then!
The sides may help air flow too. I will have a study in the morning after my 6 hours ZZZZzzz. Just completed the music downloads for our demo shows at Stoneleigh. We will strip an MX5 and build an Exocet in 5 minutes at 11, 1 and 3 on Sunday/Monday.
Steffan, dont come Sat, you may be loanly, I will be on site though so come and say hello if you did mean Sat.

Totally agree, totally change it for me. Not overly keen on them deep dish rims whatsoever. Do like the idea of this kit and via the wheels think its got bags of potential :-) different rims and colour scheme would look better imo.Needs dropping and bigger wheels imho (is there any MEV vehicle these wheels haven't been on?!)

Getting the roll cage/bar the right height too will be a major thing in getting the proportions right. High enough to be safe but not OTT like the Stylus/Fury suffer from.
