i think even in uk the heated front screen has to be ordered in batches of 10? as made in france so minimum order applies,i thought msc had built up a surplus of them but uk to nz is a longway for glass to travel without being damaged!should be able to order 3 normal screens just in case and get more powerful heater to demist front screen?
p2 is a lovely looking car was at NBO a couple of years ago and on top gear so should be on you tube-the colour just looked immense,if you can get a good paintshop should be very similar, normally some p2 brochures/pics on ebay if painter wants to see colour

Was kicking this question around with another member earlier. What is the donor car for the windshield?p2 is a lovely looking car was at NBO a couple of years ago and on top gear so should be on you tube-the colour just looked immense,if you can get a good paintshop should be very similar, normally some p2 brochures/pics on ebay if painter wants to see colour

i remember neil yates telling me they are made in french factory and need to made in batches of 10 in order for it to be worth the hassle and only made in certain months as factory shut during summer?!
i think it is due to it being a heated screen,if it was non heated presume it would be much easier-even to locate one at scrapyard if wanting it asap/cheap
i think arden sold their final shipment to murtaya sports cars

I found this when I was looking at a way to get a heated screen to NZ

My understanding is that MSC do not have any stock.
My screen was damaged during shipping and due to the difficulty of sourcing heated screens in NZ I have been pushed into using a standard screen which is available here. I certainly would not rely on MSC having a spare screen on hand if you ever needed one. I have also heard that they need to be ordered in batches of 10.

it sounds like a lot of screens get damaged in transit-having seen airport baggage handlers you can see why!My screen was damaged during shipping and due to the difficulty of sourcing heated screens in NZ I have been pushed into using a standard screen which is available here. dont know why msc have no windows if arden have sold them theirs as no new cars sold/fully built recently apart from ian's white one-i dont really fancy ordering 10 screens for myself lol but annoying if i cannot get a replacement heated screen from source!

Hi guys,
The donor for the screen has never been a secret, the standard screen it is the AX screen, can be bought almost anywhere for around £60. The heated screen was only available to us in minim order of 10 to get the price we were paying
It would appear that Ricky is now selling them at £222 Inc vat. (£185)
On a another note Steve took a commanding win this weekend with fastest times in 7 out of 8 stages finishing with a 1 minute 5 second over all lead.

Looks like its going to be really nice. The car does need a bit of TLC on the interior. My cars engine is getting repaired again. Rowleys are putting in a 2.1 stroker. The interior modifications for a wrap-around console:

I agree that the 2.1 will be better. I heard that the 2.5 cylinder walls are a bit thin. The 2.1 revs better as well. I am so happy that the car is been sorted again, its been a source of stress. The engine builder has stepped up and backed his product. I believe he wants to be done before the end of the year. ![cloud9](/inc/images/cloud9.gif)

I was not able to find an answer in this thread via search. Have any of you with carbon monocoques actually been able to detect greater torsional rigidity in the chassis than GRP? (We Yanks call it FRP.) It's a given that CF chassis _should_ be more rigid, but the torsional rigidity of either a CF or GRP chassis is somewhat subject to how well each has been was laid.
I'll go ahead and assume that the torsional rigidity of neither has actually been measured to any strict scientific standard by AMS, MSC, or anyone else. And steering clear of a discussion of strength versus rigidity, I was looking for more anecdotal/real-world input from owners who have had experience with both Murtaya chassis types.
Given the substantial price difference, I am trying to decide whether the money would be well spent on CF.

best to ask murtaya sports cars,i know neil yates of adrenaline motorsport said rigidity was not formally tested so unsure if anyone has a definitive answer!I'll go ahead and assume that the torsional rigidity of neither has actually been measured to any strict scientific standard by AMS, MSC, or anyone else.
