Does anyone have any advice for exhaust systems? I need to get the noise down to 90dB !
It just goes on.......
That's a good question! I'd honestly like to quiet mine down a little too (I know I'll probably get flamed on a car enthusiast site for saying this, but I actually like my cars a bit quieter...).It just goes on.......
I was thinking a resonator might help and be small enough to fit, but I'm worried it might just tune out some frequencies and create droning? Do they have any small, higher-performance mufflers out there?
arden used adrenaline settings but too aggressive wear for my liking so only slight toe in on mine-pretty sure there was discussion a few months back in this thread about everyone's preferences
my car is SORN'ed at present so back to arden to sort out cracked windscreen and non opening doors since new fuel pump although new pump rated to 550bhp......

murtaya exhaust, mine has a straight through centre section (no cat) with a transverse silencer fitted under the boot floor and noise tests come out at 92db's i'm sure with a cat or centre box noise would be well under 90db. Engine tuner made my system but any reputable exhaust maker could do same
PS my murt is still for sale if anyone out there still fancies one

Rally spec Murtaya was in action again at Blyton on sunday and came away with 1st o/a. Fastest on all 8 stages to win by 47 seconds.
Been doing some extensive suspension work over the winter to eliminate excess oversteer and car really feels planted now.
For information this is what we are running:
Front springs 60N/mm
Rear springs 30N/mm
Front camber: 2.25 deg neg
Rear camber: 1.2 deg neg
Front toe: 1mm in
Rear toe: 1mm in
Dampers: Tein GPN 4 way adjustable
Front a/r bar: 22mm
Rear a/r bar : 20mm
Stages were identical to previous event and conditions were similar. Typically we were 2-3 seconds per mile faster.

Thanks. It certainly feels fast from my seat! Car seems to like Blyton as we have had two firsts and a second there in the last 3 outings. Now I am happy with the handling the next event will probably be the Manx National....may as well see if it can handle those bumpy Manx lanes. Gulp.
