Thanks for that. I will go for 16" with M brakes (or 330 if I have to) just to get the car built and passed the brake test. Then I will change to 2.8 brakes and test the brakes. Sounds daft, but I've had a throttle jam open on my M and it took all my effort to slow the car. I'm not sure 2.8 brakes would have been up to the task.
I was going to sell the 15" wheels, but you've convinced me to keep them, as they will really look the part.
16" look great - not a problem. Tyres on these rims were Dunlop Blue Response. 215/65 as I remember.I was going to sell the 15" wheels, but you've convinced me to keep them, as they will really look the part.

"Purely for the taking of gratuitous pictures your honour!"
Bumpers were one off bespoke out of alloy.

This is what I am hoping that my interior will look like. If I get mine half as good, I'll be quite pleased with myself for my first attempt.Bumpers were one off bespoke out of alloy.

I think with the windscreen rake it might be a bit more successful as a Daytona tribute, though the Z3's indulgent hips might then become a problem.
Build that (250) on top of a Z3M and you'd have a decent looking, fun little rocket.
Yes and de-valued a £20k Z3M by quite a bit..... Build that (250) on top of a Z3M and you'd have a decent looking, fun little rocket.

Now done just over 1000 miles since completion including a trip to Le Mans, unfortunately cut short last week having to return because of quarantine.
660 mile round trip, some through torrential rain (not a drop through anywhere) and lots of nice comments and admiring looks, photos etc. I guess because no one there is allowed anything out of the ordinary?
