When? - Sunday August 25th, all day (and Saturday 24th, but no Sevens racing then). Racing starts at 12.15, with the provisional start time for the Sevens 25 minute qualifying at 10.55 and the 40 minute race at 16.25.

What's on? A combination of the National Kit Car and Performance Show and the Classic Sports Car Clubs race meeting at Donington Park national circuit featuring a full 36 car grid of the Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens including a factory entered R600, among many other races. You will notice that the Classic Sports Car Club have racing action on both the Saturday and Sunday, however the Sevens are racing on the Sunday only.

The Magnificent Sevens series has been running for five years and continues to grow in popularity, with the intention that many of next years rounds will have a split grid, allowing the lower powered class A, E and F cars to have their own race. The majority of the field are Caterhams, plus Westfield, Tiger, Dax, Pulse, LoCost and others. You will also see front running Lotus Seven within the Swinging Sixties group 2 race which starts around 15.30.
The CSCC races are longer than most, being 40 minutes in length with a mandatory pit stop. This allows two driver teams or even two driver and two car teams to share the experience and cost.

How much? If you attend the Kit Car show in your Seven or other kit car the driver gains free entry (via the Museum entrance only) to the show which is on the infield. You are then able to walk around the show and watch the racing all day from the infield. In addition a 50% discount has been negotiated off of normal prices to access the famous museum, providing entrants show their kit car show or racing entry tickets before they pay at the museum.

What isn't included? Your passenger (if you have one) will need to pay at a reduced rate of £10 if an adult or £5 for a child between the age of 5 and 15, free for under 5s.
If you want to access the show or watch the racing in your tin top (i.e not your Seven or kit car) you will need to pay the usual advance rate of £12, or £15 on the gate (adult price).
If you want to get to the outside of the circuit to the paddock then regretably you will need to pay Donington circuit the full rate of £15 per person, so best to watch from the infield (plenty of great spots to watch from).
You will be able to buy a race programme on the day for £3, written by my own fair hand (you'll have to be the judge of whether it's any good!).

I work for the CSCC, but receive no benefit from you guys turning up, it just provides the drivers more cheering fans to watch them and helps raise awareness of the Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens series and it's plans for next year. Hope the weather stays fine and you enjoy the action.

Brill Dave, great post, hopefully it will not get pulled as an advert but clearly you have nothing to gain.
I posted the text below on the owners forum as there are lots of cars that have not been out this year yet. I am such a wind up! See you there I hope.

Donington Show, 10 good reasons to go;
1, meet up with like minded people and chew the fat.
2, go and watch the racing on circuit,
3, get the moth balls off your car and have a ride in it,
4, get in for free if you are in your MEV,
5, see all entertainment daytime and evening,
6, camp over if you have a few beers and make a weekend of it,
7, see the kit car of the future on display,
8, be proud to show your car and talk to interested passers by,
9, enjoy the atmosphere, bring a picnic and chill out,
10,drive home relaxed having had a wonderful fun trip.

10 cr@p excuses for not going;
1, can't be bothered, we cannot force you to enjoy your MEV,
2, have not finished your MEV yet, well there's always next year,
3, it might rain, well your skin is not going to dissolve!
4, your skint, well it's free if you bring a flask,
5, you may not enjoy it, come and find out,
6, you don't like car shows, can't answer that one!
7, cars not running right, you have nearly 3 weeks to fix it,
8, going out with family/friends, you can do that any time,
9, it's a long way from home, great more fun in your MEV,
10,the other half does not want to go, well you are not joined at the hips are you?
