Not a kit and very serious in every way.

Really bold going for a single seater, since even if you can afford to buy one, you'll never be able to share the experience!

that. is. lovely.

its profile looks a little bit like the xbow. Other than that it looks bloody gorgous. quite pricey though.

I assume it only exists in "electronic" format?? Love to see what a real one looked like, as the renderings don't look too bad!

It exists for sure! Shown for the first time in Stuttgart last week.

You guys never cease to amaze me with what you do & don't like! confused

Normally by now I'd have expected at least half a dozen comments saying it's fugly! How is it that the Valdris or Xbow get slated as being ugly yet this is apparently bang on the money & obviously up to the minute???

The thing is ridiculously expensive & only has one seat FFS - I'm sorry, not being rude, I just don't get it!wobble

Don't remember if anyone, let alone anyone here has criticised the XBow's looks; an examination of it side by side with the Valdris might be useful exercise in demonstrating how small changes can make a big difference - unfortunately for the Valdris, not for the better.

FWIW I think the Mono is better looking that the XBow, if only 'cos lacks bits that appear to have added purely for visual drama. Interesting that designers outnumber engineers on 'who we are' page, and not a mention of a ride & handling specialist...

£67k (+tax) isn't cheap in absolute terms, but in not outrageous in context: waaay cheaper per seat than a Veritas tongue out, Caparo (whatever happened to them?), and probably not much more than an Atom V8 (but do agree: I'd have at least developed a tandem option like the LCC Rocket). If they can make money off 35 units p.a. at that price I'm pretty impressed, all they need is an appearance on Top Gear to make sure order book is filled.

From my experience, Neil Briggs is handy enough behind the wheel to get the basic R&H spot on for that sort of car. (it's not exactly as if longitudinal compliance or ride comfort will be very high on the list of "must do's" ;-)

Fair do's - was searching for a way to highlight what seems to be a high design quotient for something ostensibly 'functional'. IIRC Caparo went out of their way to say they had no truck with designers or aesthetic improvement for it's own sake.

i think that just reflects the experience of the guys who are developing it. They have a lot of Ford product development experience, and are simply using the people and systems availible to make a "Modern" car. These days having a car fully designed in CAD and generating production data directly from that saves a huge amount of time and cost. That also seems to be reflected in what looks to be a "quality" product that clearly has had a decent amount of time spent on making it "look right".

Bigger issues for me are 1) it's a bit of a crowded market place these days, and 2) 1 seat only.

If there is an existing race series it would fit into then maybe the "1 seat" is less of a problem??
