You sorted out your height issues in a GTR then?
Or are you building a Canam?

I'm over in Waterlooville with my built GTR if you need moral support.
I could also bring it over and upset your neighbours so they know what’s coming.

Hi Sean,

What kind of help do you need?

I am a 21 y/o Mech Eng + Fab & Weld student currently restoring a Mini Cooper. I am from Southampton so not a million miles away.

I love ultimas and would love to get my hands dirty on one

email me - ian@alfagtv.co.uk

blimey - are you lowering the chassis? what's the standard clearance on a Ultima, surprised you can take it any lower before it becomes a problem for the roads.

1.5 inch on a road car?!? or is this purely a track car? I thought I was pushing my luck at 3 odd inch with my scratch-build, hell I used to ground my modded bettle frequently enough and that had 4.5 inch

LOL how longs your hair? could a razor help

Almost all Ultimas run a 30mm drop floor..... and then headroom is still a premium.

Still gives 110mm of ground clearance.

Maybe a silly idea but why don't you just make a lower seat pan to give you more headroom? - that's what I did and it worked very well with minimum surgery.
