The above thread is about an apparantly fatal accident between a Porsche 356 replica with Z car busa engine and a Citroen, on leaving the camp site.
In the thread; "The car wasn't a real one, just a replica. Apparently the injuries were sustained because the seatbelt anchors pulled out of the fibre glass bodywork due to the speed of the impact."
The seat belt fixing comment cannot be true as this is an SVA inspected part.

Most 356 replicas are based on a beetle chassis and shouldn't require an SVA? Correct me if I am wrong.
I think the only 356 "replica" that is SVA exempt is Pilgrim's four-seater version, as the original Beetle floorplan does not need to be shortened for that particular kit.
As far as I was aware all other 356 replicas built after 2000 require SVA.
I may be wrong, but having been to Le Mans and regularly looking on that section of the site I do not think that the accident was fatal.
If you look through the thread there were numerous differant accounts and a lot of debate about what happened and what the other car was.
More importantly than whether or not it was SVA'd I hope all the occupants of both vehicles are ok and I am sure that all the details will eventually come to light
