Had a good chat with them on Saturday and am hoping to test the car for PH when it's on the road. Still wasn't quite finished and some aspects such as the interior trim need improving for production versions, but it shows promise.
Small digital camera not ideal for the conditions in the hall, but took these.

It does look nice, though perhaps a bit 'busy' and large at the front end, but maybe thats just the impression from the photos - may be more proportioned in real life.
What was the inside trim like? Have they transplanted the Scooby dash or designed the interior? I notice the roll cage is pretty uninspiring, hopefully that is something temporary as I would like to see more style at the rear
Should be a blisteringly quick car and sound gorgeous (love flat 4s noise). Plus local (ish) to me, so have to support the janners

I dont think they have much option with the front end. The bonnet line has to be high to accomodate the flat four and the the bluff front and large opening are presumably retained to ensure that the option of front mount intercooler is retained.
I hope they get this to work but I have my concerns that what looks like a chuckable slidey roadster may be very understeery in standard spec or very expensive if R/RA running gear is used to get a rear wheel drive feel. Good luck to them though as the concept is promising.

MINARI resurrection ??????
Well spotted. Adrenaline bought the Minari project, which they've developed into the Murtaya. Know they sell parts for the Minari but not sure if they have any intention of producing full kits as the Alfa donors have got to be very rare by now.
having talked to the long haired guy at the back in the middle picture, he was saying they had engineered out the scooby's natural tendency to understeer(dont
at me I dont drive one so I dont know if this is true just what they said).
As I understand it it will be 4WD
They say they would back their lightweight car against an ultima in a point to point race on standard B roads

There are ways of reducing the understeer on a scoob and an RA diff is certainly one of them. The proof will be in the eating I guess. I have to admit I would back it against the Ultima too. I would also back an RA Scoob against an Ultima on B roads.
I must admit I always liked the Minari if you needed to have a kit car as your only car - and this seems like a really good development of it... but, have they got rid of the side windows? And is there still the hard tio that the Minri had? Does anyone have photos of the interior as they had it at the show or know what they plan to do with it?
cheers,
cheers,

Hi Matt,
The car shown doesn't have side windows as Adrenaline will be offering a minimalist 'track' version with no screen and they've used the doors off that. Wind-up side windows and hood are already available. Not sure about the hard top, but know that they're planning a coupe.
Didn't bother taking any pics of interior because it wasn't that good and probably not finished anyway. They were still working on the car down in Cornwall the evening before the show and then had to drive all the way to Donington and set the stand up Saturday morning.

Sounds good, wind-up windows

Also the coupe version, hope it looks like the drawings on the web.
Thanks for clearing that out Graham

Hi All
Okay if I just clear up a few things re the Murtaya?
Graham is right, there will be a hood and wind up windows in the production versions. There will also be a hard top option. There are however, no plans for a coupe.
Also, although Adrenaline do own the rights to service existing Minari cars and all the tooling, this car shares absolutely no tooling with Minari, it is a totally re-tooled and re-engineered car.
Cheers

Hi Andy,
It's nice to see a manufacturer share info with us, and we do need more of you guys on this forum.
I have a question on the design? was it done in-house or a consultants work? and why do you have such a big front air intake?
Is that because you need a bigger radiator?
I'm a fan of the older minari with it's delicate and classy shape, your new car is very aggressive and powerful in its stance, but I think your potential customer will be different than the older Minari customer.
Wish you guys the best of luck with your new project.
Ciao
Italo
