Superlite Coupe LS7
Discussion
great concept, design and build fran you should be very proud of what you have achieved to date.
I was thinking briefly Ultima but it was the looks that put me off (i know very subjective- but thats just my thoughts).
After seeing this car its got me a thinking........ :-)
Ps. still awaiting some personalised costings from you :-) then i will be booking a BA seat to fly over to Michigan.
cheers

Craig, so I guess, an Ultima isn't on your mind anymore. If you haven't seen one in the flesh, it's a beautiful car. The only few things that really turns me off about an Ultima are lack of a stalk, fuel tank not in the center of the car, and push rod suspensions. But the first one would be the main issue. Other two, I can live without.
I haven't seen the SLC in the flesh. But in the pictures, it looks decent, but rare doesn't do it for me. Furthermore, the GTR has been developed for years and conquered many world performance records for a road car. So it definitely has an edge over the SLC. Just my two cents...

hi divine,
The reason for the visit is to make a decision between the two cars, Ultima or SL-C.
I was looking at purchasing an ultima before i briefly thought about a GT40 replica, which led me to the SL-C.
I live 40mins drive from the Ultima factory and have seen many up close and personnel.

visiting the factory on 1st August with a view to purchasing a SL-C for the UK. Oh well only 6000miles or so and 3days out my life hehehehehe - any UK questions you need answering nows ya chance
please let us know what you think of the car. be nice to see how much support the company would offer someone over here in the UK. also how about torsional rigidity of the chassis. Cheers
Chris.
Support will not be a problem....
I was in the UK last week discussing SLC track support with a well respected race/resto shop....
We run full FEA with all our chassis and components prior to production...no surprises.
We surpass all the stringent Aussie ADR torsional tests with our chassis as we have to meet their criteria before being able to sell over there.
As an example the SL-R chassis more than tripled the 2500nm requirements for a vehicle of that specified weight.

PS. obviously the LS7 is a great engine choice, and the Toyota V8's will fit even with turbos! but what other engines have been fitted?? have you any pics of them or links??

The chop top is actually called the Le Mans...and is being readied for production.
We have made mounts for a customer with stock SBF, A 410 sprint car engined SBC.
We have mocked a V10 Viper engine package(now thats a toughie) but still doable ...just.
We have done 12 LS7 chassis packages too with more in the works.also a LS1 and an LS2 but they are exactly the same mounts...
