Project tree wheeler TRIKOLAK
Discussion
Hello to everybody,
some time working on the project Trikolak. During construction, I had to solve many problems. On the other hand Trikolak brings me joy to see how it grows.
The result should be a sports car with performance, manageability and security of a sports car and a low cost of ownership.
Still do not know if Trikolak like to someone else, and if he had a Trikolak anyone interested. I like to know new people who would like to project Trikolak learn more, or those who would be interested in the project Trikolak participate.
If interested, I will write more details about the construction and design.

Your Trikolak three wheeler design project looks very interesting and I'm sure that quite a few might be interested to know more .
Is it based on a single donor vehicle ?
What engine will it use ?
Dimensions of the vehicle ?
Do you have a website or build blog to follow the project ?
Looking forward to your reply and info.
Cheers
Italo
Hi, and welcome.
Looks an interesting project.
You may want to look at the exoeco trike, this may be a good retro re-body for it ? http://www.eco-exo.com/ and if you want something a bit more potent look out the MEV Tr1ke !
Something like that with a 400 or 600cc twist and go step-through bike donor would be interesting.
Also very long thread on three wheelers on here that may be worth a read for ideas - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Hi Italo,
Thank you for the welcome.
Tricycle project addresses from spring 2013. The website or blog project Trikolak not yet, but it's an interesting idea.
Trikolak a self-supporting composite chassis. Parts of the building from various motorcycles and cars. I choose mainly by the weight and price. Trikolak ready to ride should weigh around 300 kg depending on the engine. Trikolak to fit motorcycle engine builder 25-250HP according to the wishes of the piece.
I look forward to continuing debate. Happy to get new ideas for their work.
Thanks.

I thank everyone for the positive feedback. Thank ugg 10 for inspiration. Because eco-exo I did not know.
One of the goals of the project is to stimulate Trikolak smile after taking in the cockpit. Although not Trikolak nearly finished, so I met this target at 100%. Unfinished chassis has a weight of 42 kg and yet anyone who has sat in it and laughed.
Although lightweight chassis should be fixed. From the side, it should withstand the load of 1800 kg.

Hi Slomax. Thanks for the Jackpot. Also, I did not know him. Looks great. I must admit that it looks like Trikolak. I am trying to make up Trikolak own head and not stealing ideas. As an inspiration to me mainly served Velorex tricycle, which is popular in my home country Czech republice.Chtěl tricycle that looks like competition Velorex the 50s, when he was in his prime. Trikolak should look different and not as a copy Velorex. So I thought when designing the shape Trikolak took inspiration from the racing cars 50s-60s. I wanted to use a composite construction. The construction of the composite seems to me simpler than traditional construction of pipes. Composite strength and low weight compared to steel is unbeatable. And when a person forms is far easier to build Trikolak for a friend. It did not fit a little self-supporting composite chassis into the '50s. Then I discovered the Bond Formula Junior ...... Adding photos from the construction of the prototype Trikolak.
