Westfield cockpit space - advice needed
Discussion
I've just been to look at a 1993 Westfield, and the only thing stopping me buying it is the cockpit space - it's so tight that I can just barely fit between the tuInnel and the carpet panels. I had a Tiger Super 6 before but I think that had a slightly offset tunnel giving a bit more space on the drivers side.
I assume behind the carpet panels is an open space between the chassis rails, but with triangulation, and under the tunnel carpet is ali panels over the metal chassis rails - does anyone know whether it's possible to reshape the tunnel sides or whether the chassis behind the outer carpet panels would give any extra hip room without having one of the triangulation bars sticking into your side?
I think I'd need to find about an inch or so of extra space to actually get comfortable.
thanks
James
