Sorry, but I don't like its looks. It's certainly a head turner though.

Looks like the DARE DZ; which is one of the best track day cars money can buy!

(and there's one such car being built for hillclimbs and sprints) but you can bet it'll provide both head-turning looks and neck-snapping acceleration for a hell of a lot less than that Enzo.
And it's MINE

Have to say that when I saw the Dare DZ at the '98 Motorshow my thoughts were that it looked like the Kamala - which has been around longer.

And Dontlift - you must be a bloody nutter!

There seem to be a lot of enthusiastic and knowledgeable people around, who can design (relatively) affordable cars with amazing performance and handling characteristics. Most of them are pure fun or track day things, which is not a bad thing.
BUT - are there no equally gifted stylists in this country? Why do they all look so pig ugly? There's the Seven style, which I'm not a big fan of (not much of a traditionalist, me...), then you get the LeMans/CanAm style (SR3), which in my opinion doesn't work on small cars, and finally the no-style-whatsoever random assembly of body panels (Kamala, FBS etc.)
Now there's an uninhabited niche in a niche market: An affordable track day performance thingy with LOOKS!!

it's going to be a price-performance hammer, especially if they give it an ugliness discount

Kamala also have an enclosed front wheel design which my sprint version is being built as - which transforms the looks of the car completely - I will see if I can get any pics out of them for you all

The brainchild of former Ford engineer Peter Walker and originally made by Dax until they sold the project in late 2001, this amazing machine is now made by Kamala Cars run by Mark and Tony Keen, whose previous automotive experience includes classic car restoration on the likes of ACs and Ferraris.

I did seriously consider building one when it was still with Dax, but after the total 'real-world' costs was calculated (a LOT more that 15k), I decided against it. Even the doors were optional extras!.
Price structure may be better under Kamala though, I may take another look when the Libra is finished.

Chris.

Looks more like a duck-billed Platypus grafted to an Elan M100, to be honest.

Na, I disagree, I put in the duckbill first, but put the hammerhead in its place after looking at the two.
