It recently went head to head with the Tuscan and Noble around Rockingham for a magazine test. It acquitted itself rather well apparently, although to be fair they're not quite the same breed of car.

Absolutely fantastic, great looks and if the quality is the same as the Cobras GD produce, it'll be awesome.

I defo fancy one for cruising past Inianapolis at LM 2004.......dream on..

I've always liked the Lola T70, but I'd prefer a replica of the enclosed version though, it would definately make a nice change to a GT40 replica (although I'd like one of those too!)

While there I had a chat with one of the GD team who previously worked for Ultima and has a lot of experience driving both, and he reckons T70 is the better car.

The T70 is certainly MUCH better looking! I love the Ultima, but next to this graceful, simple, gorgeous creature, it looks like an overblown caricature.

In your opinion that is. Personally, whilst the GD T70 isn't in the Census league, it's no supermodel compared to the Ultima.

Look at the sales figures if you're not convinced

Wouldn't be a little bit biased there would you Stig?

Hardly surprising that Ultima have sold more considering how many years they've been going and all the publicity they get.

Both great cars, but now people have more choice.

Of course I'm biased!

If I had a T70 I'd be biased the other way. My point was, horses for courses.

Besides, what do you do in the T70 when it rains?

I didn't expect you to agree with that one Stig It has much cleaner lines than the Ultima, I prefer that to the (relatively) in-yer-face styling of your car; I guess you must be the extrovert type I would love to see the two of em on the track together though!

And yet stangelly both me and the T70 were quicker to 100mph than the radical on track......

Seriously, whilst I know the Ultima handles extremelly I have no disillusions of it handling as well as a Radical..... however that GD car is has an extremelly well sorted chassis (I've been in it) and I don't think it would be shamed by a radical.

So as a track car I would favour the Lola (plus you can't build a radical yourself!).

As a road car I think the Ultima beats them both of cause
