Hello All,
I am going through the process of trying to decide on my first kit car build and could do with some help trying to make up my mind.
You see, i fell in love with the whole exoskeleton design (aka ariel atom) from the first time i saw it. I could keep saving my money and get an actual Ariel, but i want the challenge of actually making the car along with the driving experience afterward.
I have already discounted the V-storm from SDR (i don't like the seating arrangement, preferring a standard 2 seats and not 3). Also the MEV Rocket as i don't like the styling. My budget is around the £10-15K max mark for the completed car.
Can anyone suggest kit car manufactures here in the UK which supply such a type car ?

you have discounted the only two I can think of! Hate to say it, but that is quite a nice budget you have there, a real Atom cannot be much more than that can it, even if it would have a K in the back?? I know it's not a very constructive answer but the limited knowledge I have read about Exo cars suggests none of them perform as well handling wise as an Atom, unless I wanted to build a budget blaster for under 10 I would rather have the real thing with is fancy suspension ect.

Hi Lee,
Thanks for the reply.
You have a point with atom's now coming down into the low £20K's, but i want the experience (dare i say fun !) of building the car along with the actual driving.
I have since found out that MEV are bringing one out called "The Missile" which looks good but, as yet no completed photo's available. Think i might just be best to get myself down to the exeter show in a few weeks time and have a look at whats available.
Cheers Tris

In the spirit of fairness I was very impressed with all aspects of the roadster (electric even) when I saw it in Detroit, so much so I almost bought one even more (which would have made the 1st in the UK I believe), excellent engineering and a good price compared to other Exocars I have seen and designed around the K20 engine which I like. All I can say is, knowing what I know now I am glad I decided not to buy one. May be irrelevant anyway as I believe they are supplying almost turnkey only now if I read this right. http://www.exocars.net/showthread.php?t=4141&p...wonder who his UK distributor may be?

Anyone who would like to know more about RCR might like to have a read of the big GT40 forum - perhaps this may make people think about their US reputation? http://www.gt40s.com/forum/rcr-forum-rcr40-rcr70-p...link has been blocked - obviously got something to hide - good job I saved it :-) - very long document and not sure whether to post in full on here but happy to email to anybody that is interested.

FYI - The RCR Superlite (& single seat Nemesis) is a fantastic deal when you compare it's design, quality, performance and appearance to anything even remotely in it's price range. I've actually seen several of these cars 1st hand and their quality is obvious to all. Fran runs RCR as a successful business with genuine passion for what he does. His team has actually designed and fabricated show cars for GM so I believe his credentials are fairly evident. He may not be perfect but I do believe he genuinely tries to do right. I've listed the RCR Europe link below http://www.s-performance.de/I suggest you strongly consider the RCR Superlite. Chet
