Interesting quote in the August edition where they stated that a Taimar in ropey condition is worth about 4 grand.

In the September edition a guy has written in to say something along the lines of "if you think this is the case then you can buy mine for 3 grand and I'll deliver it anywhere in the UK for you. Sell it on and it should be the easiest grand you'll ever make!"
(sorry, can't remember the contributor's name)

I guess you could read this for most of the 'M' series cars.

I know it's all down to personal taste but I've never really understood why the value of the M cars is relatively low when compared to (say) an MGB. They're generally quicker, more exclusive and there's less of it prone to rust.

I must stress that I'm not 'in it' for any potential investment value, I've vowed to keep mine for as long as I can. Just find it a tad confusing.

Personally I wouldn't pay £4K for an MGB in any condition !

Nobody wanted Vixens or Granturas 5 or 6 years ago and just look at them skyrocket now??

the smart money will be in M series cars since they have at the moment only one place to go. At the moment though there are lots about so people can pick and choose, This is the only reason values are low.

give it a couple more years.

Adrian is still banking on this for his pension scheme

The reason MKIII Granturas have shot up in price is because they're so competitive in historic racing. Anything post 65 is unlikely to follow - unless the supply of Vixens disappears due to people making fake Griffiths.
